Errr.. not sure what is my model though.. I bought mine in mid of 2002...I'm sure it's a mitsubishi engine.. but have no idea the model number...

Anyway, back to my question.. is there a new model coming out?? I was refering to the CPS model and hopefully a totally new look for waja.... I didn't know that there's a new waja model for China market.. so proton going to launch the china market waja in malaysia?? That's weeiirrdd.....

My gf bising me already.. and I am holding her back and told her to wait for the new waja.. any idea when is it coming out? if it's early next year.. I still can delay her for a while... if it's late next year... errr... I scare my ear gonna be really hurt by then.........

No model number .... mitsu engine means ur waja using 4g18p engine lo...

I don think there will be a new design or new look for waja ... perhaps only some new technology being implement onto the engine... not very sure it will be launch though.. should be next year..  hmm.gif

What he mean is the current new facelifted waja looks like some China designed car... not new waja model for china market..
*
Thanks for the reply... I always thought that proton would be lauching a totally new design for waja and perdana.... like what they have done of proton wira, having persona as the replacement model for wira...

So I guess there's not much point waiting then...CPS seems like far far far away story.....

Oh ya.. does any feel that the new facelift waja....looks smaller than the old waja??

Hi,

Anyone done sound proofing on their Waja before?? I'm planning to do sound proofing for the 4 doors and engine bay (is it called engine bay??) I seen lelong selling these kind of sound proofing materials, but I have no idea how to install it.

http://www.lelong.com.my/Auc/List/2008-02D...Iswara_Waja.htm

Anyone has done any sound proofing in Sunway, Subang, Shah Alam area? Mind to give me the location of the shop??

Thanks a lot.
SittingDuck, there is a lot of thread about sound proof appear nowadays. Basically it's depend on your budget. If no budget, get dynamat extreme for door, you won't regret it.

Just get 4 Continetal CC1, satisfied with the grip. Any comment on this tyre?

Thanks for the reply. Mind to tell me where to get dynamat extreme?? I'm not really into cars so I know very little about cars... but after since I knock my car into a metal plate which is in the middle of the road towards KLIA, i feel like my car is not so responsive + the engine bay is damn noisy. Also the sound of closing the door is so loud now compare to when I first got the car.. so I would like to a little sound proofing to reduce the noises that's going inside the car cabin.

I tried searching for sound proof in the forum but nothing much has turn up and I need to go over every post which is quite tiring...

My budget.. below 1K with installation.. seriously I don't know how much does the sound proof cost, I know lelong is selling the material for < RM300 and some forumer here also also selling < RM300, however I have no idea how to DIY so I have to find a shop that preferably can sell the material + installation..

So any sifu here can advice me, i would really appreciate it.

update: I read in some forums that raamat is comparable to dynamat at a cheaper price. Any waja owner here use raamat before? Can tell which shop in Subang, Sunway or even PJ that offer raamat with installation??

Just would to share what I have done to my waja last week:

1) Installed Power Booster from one of the forum member here - RM 80
2) Installed Zenden Front Bar from one of the forum member here - RM 128
3) Change 2 front tires (Michelin XMV8 i think) RM280/piece = RM560
4) Change front brake pad - RM80 (ya, i know it's expensive, but i lazy to go another shop cause I was changing my tires so the foreman told me that my front brake pad needed to be changed)
5) Change my front absorber to kayaba - RM350
6) Installed Dynamat for 4 doors + front bonnet - RM 750

So, over 3 days, I have spent around RM1868 to fix my waja... I know some of the above items are quite expensive, but I really hope to fix everything in one go...

Now, after installing and changing the above things, my car feel more quiet and heavier(dynamat), slightly more power (power booster), stable (zenden bar) and last time I used to feel that my steering is loose and it's hard to control, even when I'm driving at 40KM per hour, my steering would shake left and right....so after changing the front tires + alignment , i have better control of my car now... now raining also i wouldn't be so worried, last time very worried cause the car skit before..

This coming Saturday, the final one, dynamat for my waja flooring.. and I have to fork out at least another RM750.. but hopefully the noise level inside the car would reduced...

Btw, anyone seen the new CPS, the arm rest is so nice... not sure whether it's the same as the campro model, but I like the arm rest.. anyone know where i can get it and how much? Can I installed it in my old mitsu engine waja (2002)???

bro, the michelin tyres u using what size?

and the front brake pads, usually it'll cost how much?since u said it's expensive hmm.gif
*
I'll check tomorrow morning. Can't remember the size but I'm not sure whether the price is reasonable or not cause I did not compare the tires prices.

As for the brake pad, ori brake pad, I saw in lelong.com.my is selling for RM55 including installation. So, mine is RM80, >RM25 which is quite alot(30% different?).

http://www.lelong.com.my/Auc/List/2008-02D...55_set_Only.htm

Today my car battery kong, spent another RM280 (RM260 for the car battery (maintenance free) and RM20 for the on site changing charges, mine battery kong while I was in one of the shopping mall, so had to call the foreman to come over to change the car battery). I didn't know that car battery was so expensive. The tauke told me that the car battery price has gone up by > 100%. I remember about a year and half ago, it was RM150 and 2 years back it was RM80, and now it's RM260.. wow, that really gave me a shock. But anyhow, when it needed to changed, it has to be change.. nothing much I can do about it...

did u do a ECU re-set?

WAJA has one stupid setback where if you disconnect the batts, the ECU goes haywire and forgot all the settings. it won't shift properly and changes gear very very late

that's why you are advised AGAINST dicsonnecting the batt at any time
*
Hi,

The mechanic that changed the batt for me, said by turning on the engine, the ECU will auto adjust itself. So do you mean I should go to the service center to re-tune the ECU using their device?

old news. this has been discussed in the first version thread

waja should be INVECS II - it adapts to your driving style, but w/o the sequential gear shift

and as for the ECU, no i don't think it will reset by itself. it will just forget since it draws power from your car battery. the ROM is gone when the power is not there. so, go to the SC and remap the ECU

i dunno if this applies to Campro Engine since both mitsu and campro uses different ECU
*
So which means I still need to go to SC to remap the ECU?

Wrong perception. IF the ROM is "gone" u wont even be able to start ur car. It's like unplugging ur ECU from the car. How on earth are u going to start ur engine if there's nothing controlling all the electronics? Tiok bo? =)

It's not "gone" it jus reset itself back to default with no maximum error parameter. Drive for like 300KM then it will relearn all the maximum error parameter.
No, it means if u rev kao kao for few day , ur gear box will change gear at lower RPM if it detect u're pressing the accelerator faster. Means ur car wont be that laggy.
*
So, I assume that you mean that I don't have to go SC to tune the ECU then, since the ECU will learn everything again by itself...

I nothing that my gear is not as responsive as before the batt die, it is because of this? So there's no point paying RM60-RM80 to tune the ECU, right? No point wasting my money and time?

oh really? well, I guess I was too desperate that time, cause my car was stuck in the shopping mall and I'm too lazy to survey around. I ask 2 shops, another shop quote me around the same price too. The good thing is, there's one year warranty for the battery I bought. Previously i don't think my car maintenance free batt has any warranty... so.. I guess I'm ok with.. hopefully it will kong within a year and I can claim warranty.. another free batt for another year... haha.. tongue.gif

eh? there's size for battery? I thought it's standard for all waja?

All batt got warranty? This is the 4th time I have changed my batt and this is the first time the shop owner told me batt got warranty.. before that I didn't know there's warranty for batt.. hmm..
