Depends on the soil I guess.

Well MK is originally called Raja Kunyit. The original tree was found in Tanah Merah, Kelantan. It was believed to be planted by a Chinese guy who migrated there long time ago. My friend's dad (family friend too), Wee Chong Beng, found and old tree and start replanting the tree. We was also own an orchard. From there the tree went to Raub Pahang and later the rest of the states. My friend has certificated as the founder of the tree by govt.

Thanks for value info.

Ya, Durian thrives in specific soil, terrain, and weather conditions.
It prefers well-drained, fertile loamy soil with a pH between 5.0 and 6.5.
It also requires a warm, tropical climate with temperatures between 24°C and 30°C (75°F to 86°F) and a relative humidity of 75-80%.
Additionally, durian needs a well-distributed rainfall of 1500 mm or more per year, but also requires a dry spell for flowering and fruit development.

So different parts of Malaysia produces different flavour of MSK/BT....
