Kopitiam should have 2 option la. Ikat tepi or cup. Is not that hard. Only consumer dont be cheapskate, just pay extra for cup tapau.

only sohais will order ikat tepi to drink in the kopitiam. We are trying to stop using plastic to save our earth, and these sohais happily order more plastic !

remind me of my ex ex ex boss..waktu sekolah menegah sambil kerja kat restaoran mix rice.
one day the boss takde so the boss wife tak over the night market.
then got customer come want tapau mee goreng hitam + beer.
the lady boss open the glass tiger beer and pour the beer to plastic bag and ikat tepi... then kebetulan boss balik, the customer and boss look at the lady boss gelang kepala.

lady boss marah cakap what wrong?

she is asking for those plastic cup because she after finish makan wanna bring the kopi and go somewhere else.

but the kopitiam only got those plastic bag, then she say like that she has to hold it when eating. and she say she willing to pay if they have the cup.

end up she go another place to dabao kopi with those plastic cup.

so either plastic cup or bag both also plastic. but most likely that kopitiam got no plastic cup

who started this mangkuk/ikat tepi anyway? coz i normally will finished the drink in shop,
then tapao is tapao. b4 there is not much mangkuk if u drink in shop rite? or not much ppl

Actually it is not dabao/takeaway . Ikat tepi is ppl wana drink when eat in but thy feel like sure cant drink finish then can walk sambil drink later afta leaving the shop . PRC say "带走" becoz mandarin tak ada such "ikat tepi" word , miss communication only la .
