Sometimes, it's a mismatch between the employee and the new boss. I have known ppl whom i have worked with before applying elsewhere and i found out their probation been extended too. But not all la...just a few.
When you work with them, they are actually efficient.
There is a certainly a mismatch between their style and the new boss.
But I can't say it applies to all cases.
Sometimes, the probationer employee is really an underperformer, to which I have seen it before too.
