This is like you go restaurant order, then when food arrive ask you pay money, you test already and don't like it, inform waiter take back and don't pay.

COD is pain in ass, by hook or crook the rider needs to collect the money from the customer when delivering.

If not, that gets deducted from the riders payment amount.

not only the seller part rugi, the courier part as well, rider knock the door wait them to open door then wait them go take money, need to give change somemore if there is any. Worst when the buyer is not the one that open the door, need to wait the recipient to call the actual buyer to confirm the parcel.

At least 5-10mins wasted there provided that the buyer not stupiak and karen type. that amount of time a rider could deliver 1 parcel or 2 in the same area

I am thinking if shipee could implement a pricing system where COD option cost more than the standard online payment type then it is ok

if COD and the buyer has paid and then unpack/unpack with video proof and then find out it is scam.

what a nightmare, id advice to make a strong distinction between "Shopee" and "Jnt" to these new customers. as courier when explaining to the customer

it's the issue with online platforms allowing COD, if don't allow won't have this sort of problem, at this day and age everyone will at least have e-wallet, if you can bloody order shit from your phone you will have a ewallet.

COD only works between buyer and seller. no middle man (delivery company) is allowed.

All platforms need to make COD optional. Sellers should have option to not participate in COD. High rate of cancellation and on top of that the sellers have to face high rate of damage risk since the wrapping protection has already been opened. Same goes for return parcel. Most cb type are those who open the seal, send back and then not even wrap properly in the condition it was sent.

COD is the worst thing for seller and courier guy. Those SOB just order for fun then reject. courier guy told me customer order 6 or 7 then tell him only will take 2-3. the rest reject. some reach customer door at flat then reject

i've been a buyer since lelong.com in 2004. never did we ask for this COD option. it's a step backward. if shopee insist on going back to ancient style of purchase, why don't they introduce barter trade payment.
