You know what will happen?

Petronas scale down Sarawak project and cancelling shits around.

Petros coming in but due to lack of resources sub cons to ‘local sarawak’ companies

This two layers will end up becoming more expensive for the state and eating up profit

And not to mention now Sarawak had to build up the oil and gas and supporting infrastructure themselves like pipeline, refineries, ports, roads

Will reduce more of state profits

Sarawak ppl will learn the hard lesson like in other petroleum rich countries in South Americas and Africas .. tons of natural resources but still backwards

Myself growing up in Bintulu and then Miri … almost all the infrastructure is built by Petronas

My school also built by them, down to the library and hall, even the books got Petronas logo stamped.

Nothing wrong about it, part of CSR. But is it worth 5% royalty to the state?

Schools, roads, electric, ports, plants is not just simple CSR.. but Petronas instructed by Federal to develop the two city

Billions have being spent to build the whole city and infrastructure while state government just sitting on their laps waiting for free money without doing any work
