Only in malaysia you need permission to leave the country

In uk usa they dont even check your passport when you leave the country only when entering

As in there is no exit border control you go through TSA and check ticket and ID like a domestic departure.

But if u are on wanted list for criminal offences then they can deny your boarding

Its usually agent that will appear at the gate or airlines staff dont let you onboard. Its airline themselves that check if you are a wanted criminal
