I'm trying to DIY my Vios ncp42.
So my next upgrade would be the sound treatments in my car before I do any major sound system upgrades.
I've been searching around shopee for brands. The cheapest one would be the 3M gold or black. But I don't really trust them as I haven't seen any informative review. Only those fast delivery etc. not much valid reviews. I don't really trust the quality for the price but if anyone here tried it and it's good do tell me haha.
So left the expensive "good" ones are STP.
These quality I would trust them but they come in a variety of thickness. Mainly 2mm 3mm and 6mm. In theory 6mm would be the best.
If anyone has cheaper options please do tell me 🥹
So I need some feedback or review on which one to get. How to apply I think I'll just YouTube it. If kind sirs are willing to teach I'm willing to learn 😎
Thank you all. 🙏🏻

half a sheet per door is enough... cut the half sheet up to a few pieces and stick to strategic spots/nodes that vibrate most... don't stick too hard at first... you can tap on the door and see if its working or not, remove and reposition to better spot if required...
make sure the plastic sheet seals the door properly... put a fabric or foam type absorber between the plastic sheet and inner door panel will help...
1/4 sheet per wheel arch is enough... then add those egg shell type sponge inside around the arch to absorb more noise...
1-2 sheets to the roof should be enough... cut to long half and try stick to the roof where it rings the most...
don't need to do anything to the floor... may need some for the boot...
add D type rubber seals around the door if required...
DO NOT follow youtube ppl or accessory shop sticking 2-3 sheets per door and cover the whole floor and roof... these people don't know sound engineering... they will add 50-80 KG of dead weight to your car...
there is a point of diminishing returns... also its a vios afterall
also if you park in the sun... in 10-15 yrs of cooking... these butyl will deteriorate, melt and slowly flow out of the door drain hole, etc... just fyi...
