QUOTE(geelim77 @ Jun 5 2025, 05:07 PM) fark......the fella daydreaming tot to board the train on the other side. Taiwan LHD mah. The brain auto adjusted travel direction.and the polis timing so ngam step out on the scene. He thought that's the train he's gonna board. So all attention on catching the train, without noticing there's a track & ditch separating. |

back in 2006, i witness a man jumped onto the putra LRT tracks (similar distance away like this video). but putra LRT intrusion detection system reaction is fast and hard. the man survived bcos the train braked really hard (trains are slowing down once it entered the station anyway).
looks like SPAG line intrusion detection system lembab compared to KJ line |

Some the floor and the whole environment color toning is really important. I may be wrong here, since the video seems to be taken from a PC screen, but in a glance the rail trail and the next train and the platform that he was walking from, seem to be once piece, especially with the reflection floor.
When people are new to the place/environment, chances of missing the hollow rail in step is high. I remember a trip to Prague, where a friend of almost mis-step onto the rail, we manage to pull him in. |

There are 2 cases of similar case when men fallen onto the LRT track for this year itself. one during Feb 2025 at Titiwangsa station and the recent case at puchong.
Given the frequency of these events, it may be time to reassess station safety protocols, including platform barriers. What may have worked in the past may not necessarily be sufficient today, and we must adapt accordingly. |

I think it's because trains in TW come from left side. Maybe lah. He looks so confident walking. He is assuming the train in the other side is where the platform ends. Old man didn't even look down at all.

Most likely explanation is ghost covering his eyes
Another possible explanation is he hamsap saw pretty amoi on train and forgot where he was and keep walking. |

Only the above ground stations have 100% rollout as there is lot of accidents and also death cases. Malaysia actually the first in region to have it when the LRT Kelana Jaya line underground opened with platform screen back in 1998. LRT Singapore like our Ampang line there still NOT have platform screen until now and the reason LTA gave is that it will required major work to implement and very hard to do it without major interruptions to operation. |

I wonder if he's colour-blind or somehow vision-impaired.
Perhaps we need to look into measures for such. |

QUOTE(treblecase @ Jun 6 2025, 10:11 PM) Someone commented earlier trains in Taiwan heads to the right on the platform side (opposite from ours or in road term Taiwan is left hand drive we are right hand drive). Probably that’s what disoriented him & he happened to just step onto the platform when a train at the other side arrives. Could be true.In this world, got people blur blur one. But it costed his life and he paid it very painfully. |
