As mentioned this isnt a wireless function keeb so I have no idea why it comes with its wired detachable (it uses USB Type C interface)

It makes taking the board out for cleaning much easier tho...

the detacble wire is actually a plus. So if the wire is spoiled, is easily replaceable for most people. so nothing bad about that.

lack of wireless in this day and age is a bit concerning. I've been gaming with wireless mkb and did not notice any negative issues. i prefer wireless mkb since i dont have any wires tugging when i use it.

also that cut out for the wired slot seems not well imho. the f99 i have they make that i/o outlet much neater looking with cut out covers for it. though since it's front facing, nobody will notice or care about that minor aesthetic issue.

Ahaha, the USB looks like that cuz I took off the top case at the time. Here is what the backend looks like with the case fitted. Its meant for USB Type C ya

Yeah I do appreciate its usefulness, makes easier to unplug and clean my keeb without going around my PC to remove the wire. But I guess thats the only benefit as its not battery wireless.

actually my nephew is considering a mkb. i did look at this but i'm concerned it doesn't have wifi or bluetooth. but for the price i can't complain too much.

my niece i bought her a royal kludge rkm75 phantom brown hmm.gif

for myself i got the aula F99 laugh.gif

good value for money! 2-3 years ago, sub rm100 keebs w/ hotswappable switches are non-existent.

nowadays, it makes no sense to look for mech keebs with hard-soldered switches.
*
also longevity, if ur switch wears out (they all do), you then want to replaace them. so if soldered is more of a pain replacing them. not to mention in mkb community, people do want the option to mod their switches to something else they prefer.

Considering now you have color themes thaat are fixed to certain switches thaat may not be to your own preferences but you have no choice, so being able to replace them easily also is a plus.

so soldered i would stay away unless no choice as well haha laugh.gif

Thats true even for this super budget keeb, I wasnt quite happy with the switches so I made the switch to Box Whites which is so many levels better typing experience for me. However the replacing of switches wasnt as smooth like I mentioned above.

oo have to replace switch? oo... dont really want to do that, bit lazy haha

Gotta get the same or similar for both otherwise the other will complain of unker favouritism.

well i'm on budget, just treat them with pocket change. heck even my f99 was cheaper than what i bought my niece laugh.gif as long as i feel the mkb is good i will be ok buying it as a present. even better if its at a good budget price.

back in the day i spent like rm 800 for mkb with custom keycaps and import from online (even had to get help from some mkb enthusiast living in the US to help send package to me in transit). Nowadays can get most things just from shopee and just relax. and prices are way more affordable, and the quality is quite good because of the insane competition.

My point is, we don't really have to spend too much to get a decent mkb these days (thkfully) smile.gif

also because i already bought that kludge model, i want to buy a different model. guess that's just the remaining mkb enthusiast still in me wanting to experience another different model as a comparison laugh.gif hopefully there are some sales next month hmm.gif

actually i want to send my nephew my previous mkb see how they like it. if it's ok, i'll buy a brand new one for them (because the old one slighlty faulty and has no led lighting which is more popular for younger people these days). actually not sure if they need mouse or mkb more hmm.gif

if anyone have some good recommendations for a full layout 100% nkro mkb for budget, plz let me know. Preferably with wireless feature and a good battery.

Switches is personal preference. After using for few months I wasnt liking OEM Red switches so I changed.

Budget 100% size I can recall is Aula F108/Pro. Your F99 is 98% size.
*
yeah i noticed the F108 too late. Is the pro version worth it though?

For the F99 they said the pro was not worth getting. Not sure about F108 though.

just looked at the color schemes. don't really like them sad.gif why does it have gold? eww

price is about rm 262

that wired mkb earlier for under rm100 seems much nicer. it's just a mkb for a kid who is starting out. leaning more to that tbh laugh.gif (cheap uncle haha)

i check shopee the price for a thunderobot k104 blue + red switch (keycap hot swapable) for RM 84.60. Worth getting right?

I don't think they will mind wired. These are kids they probably too lazy to plug in wire and recharge when needed laugh.gif
