GEORGETOWN: Lelaki warga tempatan bergelar Datuk Seri ditahan, disyaki mencederakan jurujual wanita dengan grip pistol di Jalan Kelawei, di sini.
Suspek berusia 41 tahun itu ditahan pada 9.30 pagi, selepas menyerah diri di Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah (IPD) Timur laut, hari ini.
Ketua Polis Daerah Timur Laut, Asisten Komisioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad berkata, pihaknya sebelum itu menerima laporan daripada mangsa berusia 28 tahun, dengan kejadian pada 2.20 pagi kelmarin dipercayai berpunca daripada perselisihan faham antara suspek dan mangsa.
“Mangsa cedera parah pada hidung dan mata selepas dipukul suspek menggunakan objek menyerupai grip pistol. Polis merampas sepucuk pistol, sebuah kelopak serta buku lesen memiliki senjata dan peluru.
“Kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 326 Kanun Keseksaan dan Seksyen 34 Akta Senjata 1960,” katanya dalam kenyataan media, hari ini.
Difahamkan, kejadian berlaku ketika dia dan bersama dua rakan dalam perjalanan menghala Tanjung Tokong. Kereta dipandunya terbabas hingga memasuki lorong tengah tetapi mangsa meneruskan pemanduan seperti biasa.
Dia kemudian menyedari keretanya diekori kereta Mercedes Benz berwarna hitam sebelum ia menghalangnya di hadapan stesen minyak Jalan Kelawai.
Suspek kemudian didakwa memasukkan sepucuk pistol warna keemasan berkilau ke dalam mulut mangsa, selain memukul mangsa sebanyak dua kali di pipi kiri, menggunakan tapak pistol selain memukul muka wanita berkenaan berkali-kali menggunakan tangan hingga patah hidung dan lebam pada mata kiri.
Mangsa kemudian mendapatkan rawatan di Hospital Pulau Pinang (HPP) sebelum laporan polis dibuat dan suspek juga didakwa berada di bawah pengaruh alkohol.

Have to give benefit of doubt... Some will prefer directly drive to Ibu Pejabat Patani road rather then stop at the middle. Who know meet someone so aggressive and not gentle like u..

sometimes when u did like this, people tend to think that you're fleeing from the scene. best scenario would be to stop by the road side and call police if needed.
Now got social media only can take action. I remember 15 years ago my friend ( girl) rejected a drunk datonseri in restaurant then the dato seri punch her until face cannot recognise. Make a police report and police say this dato seri is ketua kongsi gelap cannot touch him. No action taken

If this is the Petron at Jalan Kelawei, then the Burma Road police station is only a turn away.
Probably should suggest double punishment to Datuk Seri/Tan Sri ppl for damaging reputation of Sultans
Oni in this country r such titles given freely to so many pipul. Most of them r not fit to be awarded such lofty titles. We even have gangster & criminal datos.

cousin involve with accident multiple vehicle with a drunk drive 10yrs ago. he died with another 3 dead 1 guy crippled for life. that fella still walking around scot free. not even datuk or vip but have some palm oil money. the real issue is not dato its always money and lack of enforcement against the enforcer.

Don’t understand why authority even allowed private gun ownership in Msia. Any time gun license holder use or even show the gun, it’s an offence already, so why even give such license?
