Zelensky also did not inform US and from some of the news I read, Trump administration is furious as bombing those planes crossed the line and it gives justification to Putin to use nukes. The bombers are all out in the open like that because its requirement of the START treaty between US and Russia and Ukraine just kacau Russia ability to launch nukes. Thats why some people in Trump administration are saying they should quickly pull out from NATO to avoid getting implicated.
