No.. It depend on which tyre size u use & what kind of vehicle. No clear winner for me. I think equal quality. I use both Continental & Michelin.

Tests in UK show they aren't as good in wet braking test, the most important test for me because braking in raining conditions necessary in Malaysia.

Any manufacturer also has series that you can choose. One can last longer, one can grip good in wet condition, one is quieter than other.

Michelin Energy XM2+

They say my 2.3 inch exhaust too small for my power increase. Need at least 2.7 or 3 inch exhaust. Maybe i add muffler and tabung tengah.

Going to upgrade from k20 to k24 engine with forged internals, 88 cp pistons, bc connecting roads, upgraded cams and other supporting mods.

XM2 plus really fast harden..had done with this tyre. no more xm2 plus after this. had use conti cc6 and gy asurance triple max 2 until botak oso not harden. this one still many flower, yet already keras.

gooding things is,.many paku kena, oso tyre steady not flat. realize air fast finish, then bring to tyreshop, never know got 3 paku. maybe thats advantage which is reliable.

topup a bit can get reputable brand. what to do. tyre shop oso need to cari makan. as for me, I will never trust china brand or whatever cap ayam brand. tyre not that expensive. if someone feel tyre is expensive, then they brought wrong car in the first place.

tyre up to 16 inch is cheap and affordable..no need to go china or unknown brand.

rich people tyre. if I go see people use ps5. always got respect for them, as this tyre among the most expensive tyre. size also minimum 17 if not mistaken. those use small car can only dreamt this tyre. but if tyre available they can afford or not is another question. thats why maybe no small size for ps5

Goodyear asurance tiple max 2 is a budget tyre, not comparable to CC6 or XM2 plus which entry level for premium tyre.
If u compare, it's noisier & performance during wet normally poorer..

Of course la, XM2+ harden more bcoz can drive very long with comfort & quiet priority... It's not performance sport tyre...

not agree with bolded bro. once harden, comfort level throw out of windows already. and noise level increase too. but one things remain gooding is, performance, grip level still grippy from day one.its remain the same. this one no doubt michelin is really good.

and yeah, threads got many left..but maybe next year want to change. cannot tahan level of keras. can feel every road surface. lol. tyre no more absorb/cushion the road.

If u try XM2+, it will harden a bit after 6 months from manufacturing date. Seriously yes... (If u get feshly new manufactured tyre, I can guarantee it will cepat makan before it harden a bit months later)...
But it's not hard until solid hard or crack.. I hope U know what it mean. Not until comfort level throw out like u said..
U also can compare to Conti CC6, use yr finger; XM2+ basically use harder compound. But of course, it still good.. Performance is still good.
In my experience, it take about 7-8 years, before it become harden (yr harden level)- which it start to crack & chip - I know bcoz I keep one as spare tyre..

been using China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia made tyres for years. have no issue with any, except ada bunyi bila on cement roads. if bukan kaki speedo, should not worry. it can still take you from A to Z... on long distance...
