Ok, I caved in. Just pre-ordered from Machines store the 17pm 256gb blue color. ETA collection is on 19th onwards but have to wait for email notification. Used the mbb promo $200 instant rebate. I also got $100 accessories voucher (claimable any Machines outlet) and $30 voucher (from the same outlet only).
Overall, it’s a fairly good deal.

I doubt so as need to use mbb card to get the instant $200 rebate upon payment. First come first serve to get the offer, I guess.

At first, the sales lady couldn’t check if the mbb rebate is still available from their system. She had to key in my order and then upon payment, she can check if mbb rebate is available. If the offer not there, she can opt not to swipe my mbb card (at least, that’s what she said).

I pay $30 for one year validity. Then I buy the data as and when needed. Sometimes buy $10 for 5gb one year. Another time buy $10-15 for monthly data if I’m outside. Usually, I use Wi-Fi to surf.

If I want postpaid (don’t see the need yet), I’d rather get the maxis business plan $79 for my personal use. I sometime see maxis ppl setup booth at my company lobby. Offer seems quite good.

Ordered Ringke silicon black case for casual / temp use. For sp, I want to try use the 16pm as I have two spares. Skipping on the camera lens protector. First time being so “lazy” on getting the accessories.

That’s nice. I prefer my case to be fully covered (camera button and that plateau) and with MagSafe. Not sure if Machines have those cases now. Went to pyramid yday and they only had Apple and Beats cases. Switch had other brands. Will have to see when I collect my phone.

Just collected the phone. I’m the only one there. According to the sales team, popular colors are orange and blue. They have very limited walk in stock and mostly the air.

Max trade in price for the 16pm 256gb is $3.2k. I think I’ll check out switch tomorrow or else trx. Quite keen on the air.

Got some stocks at switch pyramid. The sales guy said got one more 17pm 256gb orange. But i think may be sold already as got some ppl there. Not crowded though.

The listed trade-in price seems low even with $400 over trade. Better to just get from Apple Store.

I bought some accessories such as lens protector, dust protector and extra sp from Smartdevil. Want to be more careful on the blue color phone.

Other than that, I want to opt for Apple purchase & trade in next year. Good description by fruitie on the process.
