QUOTE(M4A1 @ May 29 2025, 02:43 PM) and take how many years to climb vs degree student? If you have the talent, work ethics and brains, to reach to restaurant manager will be somewhere within 3-4 years. This all comes with internal training and education. I used to work for a fast food chain before. I reached Restaurant Manager status all within 1.5 years, at the age of 18. I left F&B industry to pursue other career since then.

QUOTE(Starbucki @ May 29 2025, 07:44 PM) It wasn't my long term goal to be in F&B. I was there to self support while I am taking part-time diploma certification. Once I graduated, I got a work placement, so I left the fast food position. My boss was sad to let me go, but he too knew that my time there is only temporary. Having said that, looking back I really enjoyed my time then. The camaraderie with fellow staff during peak busy period, and the fun as a team. Also I never forgotten the internal training provided to me at a very young age, experiences as HR dealing with new staff, dealing with government sectors like EPF and Sosco proved to be valuable to me later on in life.
