QUOTE(pjbucket @ May 28 2025, 09:18 AM) Haha yes, totally agree! It’s not really that groceries are too expensive — the real reason is we all just eat a lot. We’re always munching on something, and we definitely eat more than we burn off. No wonder we’ve all turned into fatty bom boms! 😅🍕🍟 jojolicia liked this post

I feed 2 humans and 2 dogs. RM9.6k per year roughly, in line with the study's US$1,940 figure for Malaysia is equivalent to RM8,848. |

QUOTE(iGamer @ May 28 2025, 11:22 AM) There are pros and cons about lower currency To blindly say we need stronger currency without considering the impact is plain stupid The biggest problem is we have neglected our own food production for decades and that is why we need to import so much |

QUOTE(iGamer @ May 28 2025, 10:22 AM) malaysia exporters don't convert to ringgit. usd safer than ringgit so ringgit get lower and lower. “Asian exporters should continue to convert their dollars into local currencies, after several years of building up dollar deposits,” Goldman Sachs Group Inc strategist Danny Suwanapruti wrote in a note last week. https://theedgemalaysia.com/node/756171 |
