Recently, I received a message from Nirvana Shah Alam informing us that we may proceed with relocating our deceased’s urn from the temporary placement to the newly built Song Villa (SV3), 1st Floor, in mid-June 2025. However, I was surprised to learn that this entire floor has been designated specifically for free thinkers. This is a significant deviation from what was communicated to us by the sales consultant at the time of purchase.

We were clearly informed that the niche would be designed without a Buddha statue to accommodate both religious and free thinker preferences, and that there would be a central incense burner available. At no point were we told that the entire floor would be designated solely for free thinkers, nor that it would lack a central incense burner. The mock-up building shown to us at the time of purchase also did not reflect the current setup.

While we understand and accept that individual niches are not permitted to have personal incense burners—which is standard practice—we fully expected a central incense burner to be available on the same floor. Placing the incense burner on a lower floor is, in our view, highly inappropriate, inconvenient, and especially disrespectful to the deceased.

At this point, I have spoken with a few other SV3 buyers, and none were aware that the 1st Floor was designated as a free thinker section or that it would not have a central incense burner.

The reason I am sharing this is to understand whether other purchasers of Song Villa 3 (SV3) were informed during their purchase about these important details. Several buyers who purchased their units as recently as last year have shared similar experiences—that they were not properly informed or briefed by the sales consultants. This raises serious concerns about the consistency and transparency of the information provided during the sales process.

I am also gathering information from other SV3 buyers to submit a formal request to Nirvana management, urging them to install a central incense burner on the same floor (1st Floor), as was communicated to us during the sales process. Another point of concern is the promise made to us regarding a chanting ceremony during the relocation of our deceased’s urn from the temporary placement to the newly built Song Villa (SV3). We were clearly informed that a chanting or prayer ceremony would be conducted as part of the moving process. However, the recent message we received conveyed a different arrangement (refer to the message below).

When we visited the Nirvana Shah Alam sales office to clarify, we were informed that chanting ceremonies will now be conducted—but only from this point onward. We questioned why this was not done previously, and the explanation given was that it was due to complaints from other families.

This raises a serious concern, as those who purchased earlier were not informed of the change. We urge anyone in a similar situation to contact Nirvana directly to ensure their loved ones receive a proper and respectful transition. At the very least, our beloved deceased deserve a peaceful journey to their new resting place.

The Song Villa 3 – First Floor (SV3-1F) columbarium at Nirvana Shah Alam is now fully open. We sincerely invite you to arrange the relocation and placement of your loved ones’ ashes.

A relocation and placement ceremony has been scheduled for your loved ones on 15 June 2025 (Sunday) at 9.30pm The entire process is expected to take approximately 20 minutes.

As SV3 is designated as a Free Thinker Zone, and to maintain a solemn and peaceful environment, there will be no chanting during the relocation. We appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation.
