I think putting the wrist like that would ensure you break the wrist....

should just hold normally with thumbs out of the way in the event of significant crash your wrist will just slip off the steering while providing sufficient energy dispersion

this is poor man mentality

People not stupid not buying special insurance for track racing. it will cost a few K but small cost for them.
each time track day change tyre, engine fluid etc... easily 10k and more.

They can easily afford all this.... be it singaporean or malaysia.

I can confirm this AMG driver is even more aggressive than Red Bull F1 driver Ricciardo's 2017 qualifying, should he turn in successfully it'll be new Sepang lap record.
1. Ricciardo's braking point, notice the small road way ahead.
user posted image

2. AMG driver's braking point, it's already beside that small road.
user posted image

3. Ricciardo braked and downshifted to gear 3 and speed 114km/h before turn in
user posted image

4. AMG's driver speed 209km/h and still in gear 6 when trying to corner

The AMG driver is a real noob. He used the inside lane and try to corner and applied brakes at the last minute.

U see pro drivers turn from the outside lane, cut thru the chicane. Not turn from the inside lane.

Confirm not brake failure, just that he applied the brakes so late. On the track , 200kmh will feel and look slow. I know because i have brought my Porsche to track day before.

The AMG driver should never have cut on the left of the VW at that speed. Instead, he should have followed behind the VW

Wonder how much sepang billed the owner for the damage.

Zero insurance coverage some more.

Last time ada one Honda car damage the same spot, compensate about RM100k to SIC
