QUOTE(Beach_Boy @ May 19 2025, 11:03 AM) socar/gocar is your only option if you want unlimited mileage I was a frequent SOCAR renter when they first started so probably all the vehicles were new. (I was between cars) Not had a bad car and customer rep was good. It must have gone down the drain since. But I do find the more premium offerings tend to be in better shape.just make sure you buy the mileage package in socar accordingly as it cannot be added later after the booking so far my experience with socar: all the car i rented reeks, so prepare your own fabreeze/air sanitizer (i've rented CX5/X70/Corolla Cross/Ioniq, most are around 40-50k km mileage, with the exception of cx5, which is 120k km) car works pretty ok mechanically, no weird sound, drives straight, brakes well, corners well, suspension still works and bushing intact, so it's pretty refined one thing to note though, most of the case you'll get rojak tires all round (i.e. 3x brand A, and 1x brand B, or 2x A and 2x B) i've only rented gocar once, the car is very new (3k km only, still have the new car smell) so it's as good as what you can get |

I had a similar situation a while back when I was planning a multi-day trip with my parents and niece, and comfort and safety were the main concerns. I tried using one of the popular car-sharing apps, but the car smelled musty and the tires looked worn out, wasn’t confidence boosting at all, especially with elderly passengers. Eventually ended up going with a slightly more expensive rental option for peace of mind, and it was totally worth it. The added space and proper customer support really made the drive easier.
If you're ever looking into premium options in bigger cities like NY, this helped me filter down good choices around Manhattan. You might want to check it out here: https://realcar.nyc/locations/manhattan. |

QUOTE(Christensen @ May 19 2025, 11:21 AM) lucky u! some of the review say that their car full of roaches, got animal smell, no spare tyre, windscreen was fogged up, car was shaky, requested to change another car but with own expense. sounds like no total solutions for customers, but one good thing with Trevo is that the post has the contact number of car owner, seems like the platform leaves customer to do the due diligence with the car owner. i tend to only rent the higher end cars that's availableyou can bring the car for a wash and they'll reimburse you, tried twice and they reimburse me without asking anything, just take photo and submit the receipt will do Trevo has mileage limitations, and often times Socar still came up cheaper because of the fuel system QUOTE(jaycee1 @ May 19 2025, 11:02 PM) I was a frequent SOCAR renter when they first started so probably all the vehicles were new.
