Maxim Malaysia responds to shutdown order, says operations ongoing

KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 — E-hailing company Maxim Malaysia has clarified that it continues to operate nationwide, despite a recent government directive to cease operations over alleged permit and insurance violations.

In a response to a Malay Mail report quoting Transport Minister Anthony Loke, Maxim said it is engaging with relevant authorities to resolve the matter and maintain its long-standing reputation.


“Maxim Malaysia remains committed to public safety and regulatory compliance,” the company said, adding that all partner-drivers undergo document checks to ensure alignment with e-hailing guidelines set by APAD and the Transport Ministry.

The company, which has operated in Malaysia for five years, also highlighted its partnerships with driving schools and the Road Transport Department (JPJ) to help new drivers secure PSV licences and understand traffic regulations.

like it has always been pun, nothing special since it has been operating without any license since the beginning but many don't believe it

almost all their drivers don't have PSV or EVP or anything

only indriver briefly has license before become unlicensed again

operating without license is the best, no need to report or pay tax....no need to apply this and that

Call APAD staff buat booking via maxim, sure can tangkap manyak kereta sapu, all kereta sapu sure kena sita. See got drivers dare to register under Maxim or not after this stern enforcement.

That's why go ask the association how to deter this, they can provide solution for u all. As usual APAD sitting inside opis aircond and do nothing, collect RM130 each EVP permit fee from Ehailing operator pandai pulak.

A high percentage of drivers didn't have EVP from APAD because Maxim wanna save RM130 yearly EVP permit fee, Maxim also didn't bother to check driver PSV license, ada kereta terus can register already, insurance lagi tarak.
