Regardless of the potential appeal by the prosecutor, it's still baffling how low the initial punishment was dished out, taking into consideration *alleged* records of him giving fake reports, huge public interest-dissatisfaction, and the damage caused to victims

If this is not handled properly, i have a bad feeling about what comes next.
This could just spell another round of low confidence in judicial rulings (though it's justified in papers, it does not represent the public sentiments, therefore the conflicts, and trust deficit in the law), it usually results in ugly altercations. Next time any accidents happen, public might act out of rashness and lash out at the potential offenders before they get a 'saving chance' from the law.

Have we not learned from the temple issues that brewed into all out hatred in fagbook and deeply entrenched into the minds of the public everytime they sees a temple by the roadside.
