Hi,

I'm using gigbyte mobo with ram 32GB (2 x 16GB 3200Mhz). When RAM under windows goes to 17-19GB, i feel some lagging. Is this normal?

I have upgrade BIOS a few year ago. I'm not sure what is wrong?

Any idea?

Thanks,

Rather than ram, i think your processor or SSD cannot cope.

Look at task manager and see whats cooking. Also see if you are overheating.

Check also what Apps are started during boot-up, some unnecessary Apps can be DISABLED from starting.

Things like Edge, Teams, Co-pilot etc. these can be disabled from auto start.

Hope this helps... cool2.gif

I have run VM guest and allocate 6GB RAM to it. Most of the time browser (chrome) will eat around 2.5-2.7GB RAM.

Make sure to update the chipset driver for your motherboard from the manufacturer's website, instead of using the Windows generic driver.

6 cores 12 threads with 3 chrome based browsers running at same times, plus a lot of addons running, welp

you probably need more cores, and high-performance SSD, I'm running 5700U plus 2 samsung SSD, with page file on it
second SSD is 870 EVO with rapid mode, most of the times it's fine, just sometimes Edge will lag, even close the browser win11 will take times

In some rare cases, it could be helpful to update the NVME firmware.
