Gaming as a whole will get more expensive.
Nvidia prices are already high, this will just make it worse. Console prices will go up too. Nintendo switch 2 pricing and setting 80-90 USD game prices will just drive prices up for everyone. This post has been edited by LegendLee: May 12 2025, 08:06 PM |

anyway rtx5090 or whatever flagship card came in the future should use titan moniker instead, it doesnt make sense to call it consumer card anymore, it should be categorized as premium luxuty product instead.

Actually public should ask who are actually buying their latest cards which costs the price of a compact car?
Upwards 10k a unit each. Just to play games really? How can they be so laku that always out of stock? Would a regular person spend that kind of amount of money on a card which costs almost a car downpayment or a nice 2nd hand car. Last time they hype was about using them for crypto mining equipments. Today it's for AI learning and development. Are their big customers mostly government agencies and MNCs themselves now? |

QUOTE(zerorating @ May 12 2025, 08:56 PM) Many games no matter how many years u wait, the lowest console price also cannot beat Steam sales price. Also, our Msia Steam price is set lower than many developed country region pricing. But on Sony PlayStation, our local pricing has no such treatment, many times I see some games actually more expensive in Msia PSN store compare to US PSN converted price |

QUOTE(iGamer @ May 12 2025, 09:11 PM) PS5 has the lousiest controller ever built, the stick drift will happen very fast, and there’s no affordable alternative PS5 controller with “Hall effect” analog stick. I believe all first party controllers are still not using Hall Effect sticks.Xbox Controllers, Nintendo joycon (even for upcoming Switch 2) and DualSense are not using HE sticks. I'm currently still using dual sense for more than 4 years. It drifted and I just replaced the joystick with a HE stick. Worked well ever since then, so much so that I'm using it to play steam games too. |

QUOTE(ipohps3 @ May 12 2025, 10:53 PM) how many GPU sold here. as far as I know a single data center got at least hundreds or thousands of GPU. Yet TNB doesn't complain about lack of power utilization or generation by those supposed data center with a lot of GPU.Strange that even Elon Musk had to resort to powering its GROK AI with illegal generators since the power company in state the AI datacenter located is unable to provide power for time being. Very strange. |

3 million GPU been sold to Malaysia.... 1 data center max 32k GPU so we have 93 max data centers? well, we have official 54 data center but even then, all of them swap gpu this week? this is very SUS... 3 million GPU buy in a week...

Exactly this. There will be overflow of second hand GPU in the market right now if all of those data centers swap gpu all in the same week. But there is no sign of that. If Malaysia really use that much amount of GPU, TNB already complaining due to extra load on limited power generation capacity or there will be some blackout in Peninsula by now. Unless if those data centers want to operate their own generators/battery/solar which I don't see it happening. |

Like the one found in STEAM Deck or Asus ROG Ally. Mobile CPUs/APUs such as the AMD Ryzen Z1. Best CPU with Integrated Graphics in 2025 - PC Guide https://www.pcguide.com/cpu/guide/best-integrated-graphics/ You don't want a hot grill or oversized box turned on the entire day that incurs high electricity bills. Trend now is mini PC boxes size of your palm, passive cooling, console like graphics quality around that of a PS4/5. Ultra low power consumption like <30W TDP?? Affordably priced too. |

QUOTE(petpenyubobo @ May 13 2025, 07:59 PM) Average tier users would just want a most recent integrated APU that supports the latest games with decent framerates and lighting/ray tracing effects. Intel N100/105 seems to fit the bill..........Low power consumption and highly efficient. There are many China based mini PC, but almost none of them actually "consumer friendly" in term of support. |

I wouldn't touch any of those N100/105 mini PCs.There are many China based mini PC, but almost none of them actually "consumer friendly" in term of support. At least go for 5000/7000 Series Ryzen based ones on Taobao/Lazada. If can afford get at least those AMD Strix Halo with Radeon 8000 Series Integrated GPU and RDNA 3.5. https://www.ultrabookreview.com/70442-amd-s...x-halo-laptops/ Or Intel Arc Series |
