Most physical stores don't sell them nowadays. Now the cheaper end of the market still have a few Japanese brand like Toshiba, Panasonic, Korean brand like Samsung, LG, dunno which countries owning brand like Sharp and Philips, and then the rest are China brand. Not much chance to see Sony TV unless in it's few showrooms and big electronic retail chain stores. Lotus and Big gives up selling Sony already.

When you buy new TV, do you still get Sony?

They still sell, but probably focus at high end models nowadays. The low end models are very old already.

Toshiba now under skyworth china

Skyworth's Acquisition:
In 2015, Skyworth announced the acquisition of Toshiba's Southeast Asian TV business.

Toshiba's Exit:
This acquisition allowed Toshiba to focus its resources on other areas, including the Japanese market and specifically drum and top-loading washing machines.

Skyworth's Expansion:
The deal enabled Skyworth to diversify its earning sources and gain a presence in a highly regarded TV brand in Southeast Asia.

Toshiba Brand in Southeast Asia:
Skyworth now produces and sells TVs under the Toshiba brand in Southeast Asia.

Nah prefer China brand model cz best bang for money. My old eyes dont even know how to differentiate expansive brand TV vs normal brand. Only choose the biggest tv size based on my budget

Actually if it has the feature that others don't provide then go for it. Me, when i switched from Samsung to Toshiba, the picture quality is different. My brain immediately screams inferior. But after few months of usage, i get used to it and now its pretty good.

Hypermarket more to cheapo tvs nowadays. They allocate less space for show electronics

Chain store big size can have more space to show a lot brand. So that why bravia is only in these stores now. Also bravia now gone up market , 3 series is overpriced for what it is, want something better (like XBR range before) need up to 7 or 9 series
