Hi everyone, just seeking for an advice.

I'm family man with 3 kids.

Currently house got 2 cars :

- Honda City GM6 Year 2019 V Spec (finish loan)
- Mitsubishi Xpander Plus, purchase last year for my wife daily drive (4 years to go for the loan). Previous she drove Myvi 2009.

Planning to upgrade my current City to SUV. The City i'm using so far so good, does not have any issue. Meter 130k++.

Dilemma upgrade to SUV within below choice :

- Honda CRV (used car, and planning purchase from Carsome with some of the car still have warranty with principal Honda)
- Subaru XV (used car, and planning purchase from Carsome with some of the car still have warranty with principal Subaru)
- X70 new unit, but worry of the support and using 3 cylinder.
- Toyota Cross hybrid, new unit. But the interior very boring type.

For 3 kids, follow your budget, any of below would be choices that you could make.

Aruz or Veloz
6th Gen CRV
CX-8

opps, Xpander would be doing the long distance right now? then no need the above. lol

within your choice, hmmm
maybe choose CX-5 / CX-30
better still, take an X2

for cars outside warranty, but younger than 10years, you could purchase ezcare premium warranty. no worries when driving.

my 2 cents

If you want a big SUV for family, Honda CRV is no brainer.

If you want a ride for your own driving during weekend, thru Genting or some adventure then go for Subaru Xv. I am one of the Subaru Xv owner for almost 10 years no regret from day 1 ownership until now.

If most of the time the car will be driven by you, and for long haul you will use the Xpander, then you may consider :

- HRV turbo, still having high discount right now if not mistaken
- CX-30 more pricey, but overall package better than HRV. Smoother gearbox.

If you can accept China car, since you already listed X70 in your list, I would say Haval H6 HEV is better.

Bro, every car brand also same if you dont know how to take care engine, engine oil leaking is normal for ICE engine which car over 5~10 years rubber gasket/orings wont degrade? These are normal, cheap replacement parts.

Air con compressor until today i still using original, no spoilt or whatever. Why? Coz i always service/flush my A/C system every 1.5~2 years with correct PAG100 compressor. A lot of people still dont believe modern A/C need to be service and mine case is one of proof that regular A/C service can help prolong the compressor life.

Xv2 is also good & more advance (if possible get the eyesight system 1), but take note more technology advancement parts also more expensive when need to replace.

In my opinion, if you need room size then Honda CRV is to go. But given you have additional cars, that might not be your primary priorities.

Toyota Cross is the most reliable and most fuel efficient but yes the interior and exterior design is boring and dated.

Mazda CX5 is fun to drive and the best among all in your list but room size is smaller so can consider this if room size is not a priority.

Subaru XV is similar to CX5, fun to drive but I believe it's even smaller.

X70 and other China SUV - no no

If u feel CX5 leg room is small then I think you can cross out HRV, CX30 and XV from the list.

Can also cross out Toyota Cross, as the legroom is even less than that of HRV.

Between T/Cross, CX-30 and HRV, I think HRV has the longest legroom at the rear.
