SEREMBAN - Seorang wanita meraung melihat anaknya tidak bernyawa selepas dirempuh sebuah van yang dipercayai melanggar lampu isyarat merah di Jalan Persiaran Senawang di sini pada Sabtu.

Menerusi video yang tular, wanita terbabit yang tiba di lokasi dalam keadaan penuh emosi menjerit 'Ya ALLAH' sambil dipeluk suami yang cuba menenangkannya.

Dalam kejadian kira-kira jam 11.55 malam itu, mangsa lelaki dikatakan berusia 20 tahun sedang menunggang motosikal dirempuh van terbabit.

Difahamkan ia adalah lokasi sama kemalangan maut yang pernah meragut tiga sekawan yang dirempuh sebuah Honda Jazz juga dipercayai melanggar lampu isyarat merah Mac lalu.

Menerusi video lain yang tular, kelihatan orang ramai mengerumuni van berkenaan dan mempersolkan pemandunya kenapa melanggar lampu isyarat merah.

Sementara itu Sinar Harian masih menunggu maklumat lanjut daripada Ketua Polis Daerah Seremban, Asisten Komisioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din berhubung kemalangan berlaku.

"Siasatan awal mendapati kemalangan berlaku apabila van jenis Toyota Hiace yang dipandu seorang lelaki berumur 44 tahun bersama seorang penumpang wanita berumur 20 tahun sedang bergerak dari arah Senawang menuju ke Bahau.

"Apabila tiba di lokasi kejadian, pemandu van dipercayai gagal berhenti di lampu isyarat merah lalu melanggar sebuah motosikal yang datang dari arah sebelah kiri," katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.

Jelas beliau, akibat kemalangan, penunggang motosikal jenis Yamaha Y15ZR berumur 20 tahun yang cedera parah di kepala telah disahkan meninggal dunia di lokasi.

"Pemandu dan penumpang van tidak cedera. Mayat penunggang motosikal yang maut dibawa ke Jabatan Forensik Hospital Rembau," katanya.

Tambahnya, pemandu van ditahan untuk siasatan lanjut dan ujian kandungan alkohol dalam badan mendapati keputusannya negatif.

Looks funny, but its damn effective bro to made sure people dont drive fast at traffic light..

Yes, couple of high speed bumps before traffic lights, 100% effective. Make it as high as possible, nobody will floor the pedal at junction anymore.

Also all school/hospital and residential area should do this.

at night, always check for sign of sohai before proceed out of junction, even the light is green

because sohai like that usually complain about road hogger but disregard every other traffic rules and regulation

Recently saw IG post comparing drunk driving penalties in a few countries. Taiwan ban driving for life if cause serious injury or death (doesn't mention fine or jail penalty)

Instead of using this as idea on reworking our law, he lelong number plate instead. Salesman or minister? 

Then other ministers can go rombogan sambil belajar overseas for a whole week with group of 20+.

Number plate man will say cannot be tackled. He did that for lorry Puspakom inspections recently. Already hint where his political will is.

SEREMBAN: Seorang peniaga mengaku tidak bersalah di Mahkamah Majistret di sini hari ini atas pertuduhan memandu secara berbahaya sehingga menyebabkan kematian seorang penunggang motosikal di Matahari Height pada 3 Mei lepas.

Tertuduh P. Mohan, 45, didakwa memandu van secara berbahaya dan menyebabkan kematian Muhammad Annas Iskandar Mohd Khairi, 21, pada 11.59 malam di lampu isyarat Persiaran Senawang 1, Matahari Height di sini.

Pertuduhan dikemukakan mengikut Seksyen 41(1) Akta Pengangkutan Jalan 1987 (Akta 333) yang membawa hukuman penjara antara lima hingga 10 tahun dan denda maksimum tidak lebih RM50,000, serta hilang kelayakan memegang atau mendapatkan lesen memandu tidak kurang lima tahun, jika sabit kesalahan.

Timbalan Pendakwa Raya Nadia Ezzati Mohd Zainal memohon tertuduh diikat jamin RM15,000, namun peguam Rajindar Singh yang mewakili tertuduh memohon jaminan dikurangkan kepada RM5,000 dengan mengambil kira pendapatan anak guamnya sekitar RM3,000 hingga RM3,500.

"Tertuduh berniaga sendiri dan isterinya menjual bunga serta menanggung dua anaknya berusia 21 dan 22 tahun yang masih belajar," kata Rajindar.

Majistret Nurul Farha Sulaiman membenarkan tertuduh diikat jamin RM7,000 dengan seorang penjamin dan lesen memandu digantung sehingga kes selesai.

Mahkamah menetapkan 3 Julai sebagai tarikh sebutan semula kes untuk penyerahan dokumen termasuk laporan Pusat Pemeriksaan Kenderaan Berkomputer, laporan forensik dan kimia.
