my prediction > PAP will still govern > PAP will get less than 60% of total votes > Opposition will win more than last elections Reason being, inflation hit the normal singaporean really hard especially after covid achong09 liked this post

QUOTE(malz89 @ May 3 2025, 08:37 PM) That will never happen. It's easy to say but hard to implement. Only people will believe opposition r those at lower income. Mid income prefer PAP. QUOTE(MR_alien @ May 3 2025, 08:46 PM) because they're being rational and honest...it's not an SG issue, it's a global issue that nobody can resolve So weak not even want to try working on it at all? Not sincere at allEven Australian Labor and Coalition are championing it in their own way The easiest way for PAP to do is to reduce their GST |

QUOTE(knwong @ May 3 2025, 09:29 PM) So weak not even want to try working on it at all? Not sincere at all Lol dumb move. Why benefit FT from gst? When citizens get voucher rebates to lower their gst? Even Australian Labor and Coalition are championing it in their own way The easiest way for PAP to do is to reduce their GST Look at Malaysia, removed gst but did prices go down? No right. |

QUOTE(yhtan @ May 3 2025, 09:18 PM) my prediction Total votes doesn't matter. How many seats they get that matters. If they still supermajority. Nth much oppo can do. Also, what's interesting if the punggol side will vote out their DPM for WP. If they have the balls to do it. People want a change. If they don't, NATO.> PAP will still govern > PAP will get less than 60% of total votes > Opposition will win more than last elections Reason being, inflation hit the normal singaporean really hard especially after covid |

What for being elected and don’t even want to try solve the problem that every population is facing. New MP starter pay earning 15k and worse millions for Minister they at least need to do some hard work leh…Look at Malaysia, removed gst but did prices go down? No right. If you try and fail, at least people can see you work hard on it. People will understand. But don’t even want to try? That’s one weak leader I say |

New MP starter pay earning 15k and worse millions for Minister they at least need to do some hard work leh… U should know that most of the people in sg are not paying tax. People are ok with 9% gst. Not much difference between 9 and 7. Just that most were not ok they raise it from 7 to 8 then to 9 giving businesses to abuse the raise. If you try and fail, at least people can see you work hard on it. People will understand. But don’t even want to try? That’s one weak leader I say Like what I say, those I know don't feel impacted by this. Even my ex landlord is happy with gst. Since gov gives rebate. It's just like in msia. We remove gst. Then what happened? Things went up, up and up. Gain lesser tax. Need to implement more tax. Just to please the people. Playing with sentiment is bad for the country. fongsk liked this post

Look up both Coalition and Labor party manifesto related to cost of living. All those are reasonable - like lower down income tax, build more affordable home for first time buyer, reduce fuel tax…etc.Like what I say, those I know don't feel impacted by this.
