You can tell if you have body odor by the type of ear wax you have. If you have wet ear wax you'll have stronger body odor and if you have dry ear wax you'll have much less body odor. Most east Asians have dry ear wax, probably most Chinese here don't even know there's such a thing as wet ear wax.

East Asians commonly have the "AA" genotype at the ABCC11 gene SNP rs17822931. The ABCC11 gene encodes a protein that helps transport organic molecules out of cells. For east Asians with the AA genotype, this protein is broken down early and doesn't function, so these molecules stay inside cells and aren't secreted.

Basically, in the majority of east Asian population with AA genotype, fewer odor causing compounds are secreted so they have much less body odor.
