Not everyone can be good at the same thing anyway. Why need to care about someone failing maths if they are good at something else, like art or sport? It is more of a concern if someone fails at everything.

Not asking people to be good. At least get D or E grade, already considered pass. How hard is it to get an E? Tembak also can get la.

Yes, basic math is very important. It's a foundational skill that underpins many aspects of daily life, from budgeting and financial planning to understanding measurements and solving practical problems.

Even those who don't pursue STEM careers can benefit from strong math skills, as they enhance critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Why do you need mathematics when you can ask AI for the answer?

Last time we always stereotype Chinese is good in maths while others bad in Maths. As someone who works very closely to secondary schools, let me tell you now even Chinese students suck in Maths. So so common to see students with A B in other subjects then score E or fail normal maths.

Then ask them what they wanna study after SPM, mostly say Engineering or IT. wtf….

What? Lowered passing mark to 20% still got so much failures? Why not lower the passing mark to 0%. Confirm 100% passes.

Is the passing mark really lowered to 20% ?

At least for school tests, yes. My child's test passing mark for maths was 20%.

For SPM, I thought usually they use the histogram/normal curve?
