Concerning the high failure rate in Mathematics in the 2024 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, Fadhlina said the ministry would carry out intervention measures for subjects that recorded a decline in performance.

“For example, last year [SPM 2023], when Bahasa Melayu and History showed a decline, we immediately implemented interventions, and this year’s results show that those efforts were successful, particularly for those two subjects,” she said.

According to the SPM 2024 Examination Results Analysis Report, 84,025 candidates failed the Mathematics subject, which is 22.4% of the 375,115 who took the subject.

What? Lowered passing mark to 20% still got so much failures? Why not lower the passing mark to 0%. Confirm 100% passes.

First know the symbol O

Our Mathematics papers is in both Malay and English order now.
We doing dual language system.
Yet alot are still failing.

Really wonder need to add few more languages in our exam papers.
Or really schools need to identify weaker Maths students after UPSR (PSLE)
And let them sit fundamental maths.

If everybody can count, then they figure out who has been taking money out of the public coffers how? Better if everybody cannot count, ignorance is bliss.
