thats why pure city drive car (especially japs car) will goes as low as possible to promote fuel saving and minimal cold start wear


whereas big sedan or long distance or heavy usage car they will recommend to 30 or 40 as starting point

minor concern only, oil pump pancut very fast in hot climate.
thats why oil pressure light very quick to disappear when we start car.

that is just oil pressure sensor ..which meant the oil start pumping from oil pan with acceptable pressure/flow

but not flow till top n finish circle back to oil pan


agree on minor concern ; probably just need to let the engine warm up slight longer like extra 5 10sec and go ;

just pointing out the pros n cons of different engine oil ..ultimately this depend on your usage ..no absolute winner

Not true. Many Japanesse brands are recommending 0-20W and 0-30W max for their recent models.
With technological advancement, lube manufacturers have better additives added into oils to better protect the engine in all conditions.
