i dont find it cheap if have to convert RM > Yen.
our chicken rice here + meat is Rm12, convert to yen, 100 yen = RM3, which is 400yen.
400yen cant get u good food. mayb 2 onigiri je from famima
current rates are really crazy ed, last time while yen was higher at RM37-39/1000yen, things were much cheaper by few hundred yen
now inflation hits liao, so while RM30/1000yen but things in JP went up so its nullified.
for eg, last time this ramen shop i went to was 1090yen/bowl, thats 2015 era price. in 2022 when i passed by its 1300yen already

Because you went to tourist area la dei, of coz will packed like sardine. There are so much non tourists place to explore where there’s literally no ppl at all during weekdays like shinkiba yumenoshima
Tourists always went to the same place shibuya shinjuku ikebukuro meguro shimokitazawa sangenjaya then complain tokyo so packed. There are literally 23-ku in Tokyo for you to explore.
this, just walk about 1 block away from tourist spot and you see roads less packed ed. can finally breathe properly
most tourists kept repeat same thing when travelling to JP, like my friend this year again back Tokyo to see the same packed Asakusa.. SMH

views from Hakone is a bit riskier cause you are overlooking several hilly areas in between. If you're in Kawaguchiko or Fujinomiya area, the distance closes significantly.
even so, volcanos in general likes to hide behind clouds or like the Japanese people say, Mount Fuji (Konohanasakuya-hime) is very shy.
i spent 2 days in Fujinomiya - no luck on the first day but it appeared on the 2nd day. i literally shocked myself awake when i opened my eyes first thing in the morning that this huge gigantic thing appear in front of my hotel room window.
it was the most majestic thing that i've ever seen in my life.
the thing most people dont know is that mountains in general for the best clearest view, you need it see it during early mornings (sunrise time). due to shift in temperature as the day gets warmer the winds shift too, causing the clouds to appear and block the view. on the rare occasions the shift isnt drastic, it stays clear longer
seen many times when i hike up mountains, Rinjani, Mt K etc all same pattern
