Maybe your own power line problem. I had power line working over different phases, just that speed will really suck ball

Yup that's the issue I got

Poor speeds. So much so I stopped using it and went back to WiFi

Power line is horrible.
Wireless mesh with a dedicated third band backhaul between the routers is preferable.
If your place have significant wireless interference in the 5ghz range, 6ghz band will help.

I would rate
Ethernet cable > Coax cable (MOCA) > wireless mesh (with dedicated band) > powerline.

If your house many core wall or certain IBS walls then you need many mesh point, best is the points aren't blocked from walls near each other. If that's still fail maybe what best for you just Ethernet back haul. Use long Ethernet cable to connect downstairs and upstairs mesh point

Astro box seems not very stable with Wifi Mesh alone. Not sure if it is Astro box being crappy quality, or Astro streaming service over-saturated from time to time so become laggy, or just Wifi Mesh problem. Already put a mesh unit besides Astro box but still get some lag and pause from time to time.  :ranting:

Do you find powerline ethernet adaptor has better and more stable connection speed compare to Wifi? Or the other way round? Or both seem about the same?

Why not astro streaming server are problem?. Sometime i notice stuttering ans buffering but internet all ok. I think astro side problem.

idea is that his router unit too far apart, causing bad connection, not between his astro unit n router
so move middle ground should help

if using mesh note the mesh unit cannot be at the edge of wifi coverage from router, it has to be middle ground.. i.e if the range of main router is 10m..you need put the mest at 5m.. not at 8-10m...

if main router is shit, no matter how many mesh u use connection will still be shit.

My personal experience

was using unifi stock router, sucks so bad so I changed to tp link ax router. Connection is very good.
Swicthed to maxis and still using the same router no issues. but decided to use the stock given router to utilise the backup 4g dongle incase of downtime. but then the connections started to be wonky. then I switched back to my tplink router and everything is fine
