Do you find powerline ethernet adaptor has better and more stable connection speed compare to Wifi? Or the other way round? Or both seem about the same?

Astro box seems not very stable with Wifi Mesh alone. Not sure if it is Astro box being crappy quality, or Astro streaming service over-saturated from time to time so become laggy, or just Wifi Mesh problem. Already put a mesh unit besides Astro box but still get some lag and pause from time to time.

I tried powerline before
Can't work over three phase. Especially if their respective outlets are at different phases |

Adjust the frequency (mhz) and channel inside the router and mesh. Use Wi-Fi analyzer to find what channel is most free.
Mesh Wifi like TP-Link X20 above has signal optimization that auto calibrates this. |

SPEND SOME MONEY for a better router. like I said before many ppl very kiamsiap when it comes to good router but can pay expensive monthly subscription for the internet this, I cannot brain. it is like paying ron 100 for kancil 660 those telco supplied router are just plain sucks get the mid tier router from asus, tp-link is better, bigger ram that can handle bigger traffic, better soc. yes bandwidth is way more important than the latest router available in the market for example AX73 5400 under rm500 TP-LINK AX 73 AX5400 OR if u guys on budget, can consider TP-Link Archer AX53 RM 215.70 only now Cheap TP-LINK AX53 AX3000 RM215.70 review https://www.blacktubi.com/review/archer-ax53/ This post has been edited by JimbeamofNRT: Apr 26 2025, 06:59 PM |

In my rented house, PLE works so well. When I move to my new house, my PLE doesnt work at all. Its puzzle me because it is a newly construct house with no issue of wiring. Now I am using Mesh Wifi.
If you bought one, you might be able to use it or not at all. a 50% chances. I would advice you to skip PLE. Btw astro box is sucks. Mmg problem with wifi. |

I put my meshbox and connect the astro box via ethernet on my 2nd floor master bedroom. but upstairs got 2 mesh router to cover the signal from downstairs. Maybe ur mesh setup causing weak signal to the astro box.Do you find powerline ethernet adaptor has better and more stable connection speed compare to Wifi? Or the other way round?
