You are supposed to let the person handover everything the work that he/she carried on.

If 1 week left you want to micromanage that person work, that means no proper handover has been done.

It's a different situation if you are working in call centre, retail, f&b where the work goes on as usual until your last day since these type of works are more to hands on and no heavy documentation required
