As another few year enter mid 30...
I always start to overthink even very small issue.. sad.gif

Especially health issue.. Although still healthy on last body check (2 years ago)...but once i see read or see any common sickness like High blood pressure, Diabetes, stroke, kidney issue and etc...
I was thinking whether I have those in the future and keep thinking and thinking....

For work wise, every-time when I knew that I need to having customer site visit, or any sort of customer workshop and etc.
I always cant sleep well at all.. I have try to relax myself to sleep alone without my partner, i still not able to sleep well....

Recent sleeping also very easy to awake.. Mostly awake 1 times in midnight... if more worst, it seems like sleeping at noon...keep sleep and awake and really torture me alot...

Was this mid age crisis?? sad.gif sad.gif

Bro, sweat it out...

Go out and get some morning/evening sunlight and exercise for 2-3 hours, and then do a day or two rest... You can sleep all your want during the weekends after...

I can tell you I do this, despite me waking up early every single day...

You'd want to increase your intensity to running from 5kms to 10kms and longer once you get into the groove... And then do some calisthenics / strength training...

If you have noticed... Malaysians are not particularly healthy at all... Our lifestyle is toxic, and our mindset because of that, is also toxic... And we see this as the sole country being the most obese in Southeast Asia (or perhaps Asia itself ---- overtaking China ----- if we likely compare through crop sampling).

Our Australian counterpart did a study and found at least half their population are exercising regularly...

"One in five (22.4%) adults aged 18–64 years met the physical activity guidelines in 2022, an increase from one in six (17.0%) in 2017–18. More than half (56.4%) completed 30 minutes of activity on five or more days. One in four (26.6%) undertook strength or toning exercises on two or more days in the last week." - Australian Beureau of Statistics (Source: https://www.abs.gov(dot)au/statistics/healt...latest-release)

Add this fact onto Randstad's recent study of Malaysia being the most toxic work culture in the whole of SEA...

Get stronger...

Brader, most of my net worth is tied to the equity/financial markets for long-term, and money can go both up and downwards... Why worry so much?

I have proposed a few tickers/counters that I personally take without worries and it happened to profit just the way I wanted it here, and I didn't care what others are saying.

You have to take magnesium supplement continuously already.... Like me, your thoughts is burning a lot of magnesium, and you have to take it to sleep better.

But most importantly, exercise as much as you can...

I sleep about 4-5 hours every weekdays due to travelling to KL early in the morning, and trading NASDAQ short-term at night... To maintain a balance, I exercise and sleep a lot during the weekends, and I also tend to push myself despite the tiring off-hours to exercise every Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.

My fixed regime is centred towards the weekends and holidays... I would exercise by running/walking about 10kms, do calisthenics, hiking mountainous trails, etc... Quite simply, just knock everything out and focus on the present... In my 2 fixed jobs regime, if you're not exercising at least 3-5 hours during each of the holidays and weekends, and if you're not exercising at least once or twice during the weekdays, something is wrong...

Edit - 1st August, Note: Sorry for double posting... I forgot that I answered it earlier...

you have to train your brain and thought, else you will be hit with depression and anxiety.

1. Tell yourself those you cannot control like what will happen tomorrow, is not important, let it be, when it happens only try to fix it. Past had passed, tomorrow is uncertainty, enjoy now.

2. be grateful of what you have now.

3. Do meditation, it helps you focus on current moment.

if it is your job, change to other job with more support :X

from your narrative, it doesn't sound like mid age crisis. mid age crisis usually is something to do with reevaluating your life choices and regret what you have done so far, hence divorce rates are high when you are having mid-age crisis

back to your question, it just that you are have anxiety and lack of sense of security. maybe it's the job you are doing or maybe it's something deeper than that, sometimes even childhood trauma can affect your adult life behaviour.

here are a few things that I did to improve my mental well being:
-have a grateful journal
-simply thinking instead of always have the negative self-talk
-be in touch with nature, go for a walk in the park during the weekends
-living in the present moment, don't think of past or future
-have quality sleep, sleep longer doesn't mean you sleep well (circadian rhythm)
-changed my diet to more natural food instead of ultra processed food
-find out more about psychology, habits, neuroscience and understand why we behave in certain ways and how to overcome it, read a lot

do PM me if you wish to explore together
