Hello All ,

Kasi tolong tolong ... My budget is 2500.00 ringgit.. just for CPU

mainly casual use .. browsing the internet .. watching YouTube.. office stuff. Sikit Sikit game on steam ( fishing and racing )

The last PC I bought was way back in 2017.

Now with this budget ..tolong tolong kasi recommend satu CPU .. able to withstand the 10 years usage from from Now 2025

pakai biasa biasa .. I know that now the OS is Windows 11 Pro, so I need to run Windows 11 Pro. With ease for 5 to 8 years to come

Awaiting your recommendation

kam sia kam sia . banyak thank you.

That's a lot of budget just for the CPU. I wanted to recommend 9800x3d but you can only afford 7800X3D.

AMD Ryzen 7800X3D - 2100 ringgit

This CPU should last you 10 years.

To TS, mind you above wont last you the 10 years your asking mega_shok.gif and this CPU is from 2 gens ago so 2022 its ady lagi dated.

If you were to compare now its about i5 Sandy Bridge back then, its absolute ewaste by now. So no way this level of computer will last you 10 years lah.

Such system is so slow its practically ewaste unless your a retiree with plenty of time to wait for the system to run.

I still have 1st Gen Core desktop system. i5-760 can still turn on and run simple things on WIN7, I even recently upgrade its CPU cooler with a 120mm air tower.
Slow as heck but well suited for my retired parents that turn on PC and go make coffee while wait it to boot. What for spend money if still boleh pakai. But if its your main system, O-M-G shocking.gif

I suggest you to get this GMKtec K8+ for your budget.
Get the DDR5 32GB 1TB version for this price range.
AMD Radeon 780M can play some games. If you want to play more AAA games, this little machine can connect to "Oculink, meaning that an external graphics card. As long as you get a graphics card with a PSU.
If you want an Oculink GPU dock, here is the link for Minisforum DEG1

Considering that hardware requirements for basic use has been largely static for now (outside of games of course), it's not hard for a modern machine to last over 10 years - you'll be surprised how usable many of the Sandy/Ivy/Haswell machines with a SSD and sufficient memory icon_idea.gif

Its a fact that PC electronics will degrade over time, I have a few oldies that even with upgraded SSD & full bank of RAM its still not as peppy as I remembered new. Windows is also getting bloated over time so no extra hardware can save that. Mind you I once a while clean WIN reinstalls but after update to the latest the bloat will return.

If its a system you use frequently its time to let go ewaste dump, or give to others who have time to wait it boot.

Yes, but that's just Windows - try something like a reasonably modern and lightweight Linux distro and you'll be surprised how well it works on legacy hardware icon_idea.gif

Linux shakehead.gif Too much effort for ancient hardware. Just keep using it in old Windows until a point where its no longer can run.

hello .. Yaah .. I am looking to this direction of mini PC ..bcos .. I would think that in 3 years from now all IT will be moving to this format of MINI PC..

But was looking at Shoppee on Dragon Mall Vs BolehMY this 2 website also selling the GMKtdec K10 ..which I intend to get 2 unit ... 1 with 16G +1TB and another one 32G +1TB...

On Dragon Mall this K10 , 32G=1TB is more expensive by almost 8 hundred ringgit as compare to BolehMY ...

How Can it be .. ???? I wonder .. if 1 hundred different ,,ada logic laah ..tapi 8 hundred different ... susah looh..apa macam ... you think bolehmy Can be trusted.. !!!

You are likely stuck in the old mindset laugh.gif
TBH modern versions of Linux isn't that hard to use anymore, with most stuff being preconfigured for you and installation is quite easy too - there's even plenty more community support for Linux desktop OS (thanks to the Steam Deck), so don't worry icon_idea.gif

I use Ubuntu on bootable thumbdrive as emergency backup. It isnt hard for ME to use as Im technically aware, but its not something I would give seniors like my parents to use. Linux still not as straightforward intuitive as WIN.
