How you guys get RM90 for 500mbps package? Which unifi store?

Unifi store damansara utama today.
Lady die die said lowest for 500mbps is RM139, and COMPULSORY to sign for Unifi Mobile. She said everyone also same.

And dare I say she wasn't very pleasant at all. Quite disappointed with her actually, 2nd time got her already. -__-

Yes

Just let them know you want the SWU 5.0 plan. In my case, I asked for the 500Mbps RM90 offer. At first, the staff wasn’t sure, but she checked with her colleagues and got back to me.

She also asked if I was planning to switch to another provider, just say yes, and mention that Astro is offering you 500Mbps for RM90.
*
Giving up already. Went to TMPoint at Menara TM, said the same thing, SWU 5.0 - 500mbps at RM139 free 6mths.
Asked why so many others getting 500mbps at RM90, they kept asking for proof, give account # to verify. confused.gif

Probably need to switch to Astro already. How good/bad is Astro fibre? cry.gif

139 with unifi tv?

But rm90 no free 6 months
*
Didn't ask about unifi tv, not sure. sweat.gif

500mbps
RM119 free 6mths (119 x 18 = 2,142)
RM90 no free 6mths (90 x 24 = 2,160)
Small difference (RM18?) so I'm ok either way. Problem is they kept saying best offer is RM139 free 6mths. ranting.gif

QUOTE(k!nex @ May 29 2025, 01:17 PM)
Try go TM Point Cyberjaya if you can.
*
Thanks, may be too far for me. cry.gif

QUOTE(bigduck @ May 29 2025, 02:09 PM)
Did mine at usj taipan branch yesterday, morning already updated to swu 5.0 500mbps
*
Ok thanks, this one nearer a bit.

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 29 2025, 02:11 PM)
Well, the Astro fiber is still going to use UniFi in your case. So it makes no difference but TM will counter offer again once you have the transfer ID from Astro. So, you will still get RM 90 for 500Mbps eventually.
*
Thanks, just worried about their after sales service. Heard it's teruk, they will refer back to TM.

QUOTE(YoungMan @ May 29 2025, 02:53 PM)
Did you tell them "Astro offer you Rm90 for 500mbps? If you are existing Astro subscriber, you can sign up their fibre and get a transfer ID. With the transfer ID, burgain with TM for the same offer.
No. The most they can ask is to see if you have actual transfer ID from Astro fibre.
*
Thanks, that will be the next step if all else fails.

Walked in to tmpoint this morning. 15mins kaotim change to 500mb plan @ RM90 + free 12m disney hotstar.

After 2 hours, already updated in myunifi app. Damn fast lol.
*
QUOTE(sixshot @ Jun 5 2025, 10:24 PM)
Contract finish already. Previous package unifi 300mb, free pro upgrade to 500mb. Was paying rm129 monthly.

I just walked in, said my contract finish ed. Straight to the point said wanna switch plan to swu 5.0, 500mb @ rm90. Initially, the staff said price is rm139, free 6months.

Then i said, haritu kwn sy baru tukar plan 500mbs @ rm90. She check system, straight away said ok cannn. LoL

No STD for this plan.

SWU plan only for existing customer whose contract already expired. No other t&c as im aware off.
Renew contract 2 years + must take unifi mobile postpaid for 3 months @ rm39.

But i read some forumer said no need to wait 3 months, can cancel already. Since, i already paid for the 1st month, gonna wait until next month before cancelling the postpaid.
*
But which TMPoint branch bro? Others also asked you this. sweat.gif

QUOTE(PJng @ Jun 5 2025, 10:40 PM)
gonna apply some leave to visit TM point, but no damansara outlet, not sure on PJ where can try
*
QUOTE(hsbb @ Jun 5 2025, 11:11 PM)
The tmpoint nearest PJ is tmpoint menara tm or can go to seksyen 11 shah alam.
*
Don't bother with Damansara & Menara TM outlets. I went Damansara 2x, Menara TM 1x - both also said lowest for 500Mbps is RM139 free 6mths.
Told them others getting 500Mbps RM90, they said show proof, show account no. Told them Astro RM90, they said "Yela itu Astro kita tak tahu, kita TM".
Damansara I was also served by the same unpleasant lady. And I'm OKU.

Maybe it's because my muka punya pasal. cry.gif

Stop trying, within contract period they won't bother you now. It's the latest SOP.
*
The thing is, many have reported they were able to switch to new SWU plan despite few mths remaining in contract.
Many from this thread, many from fb groups.

The below is just 1 of the latest example:
QUOTE(HayateAyakasi8 @ Jun 9 2025, 04:34 PM)
Not Seremban, but PD.
I had ~5 months contract left, just walked into Unifi Store. Asked got any promo and was just offered that plan.
Had to take Unifi mobile sim card for 1 month but cancelled that sim card right after my unifi fibre plan was updated. Got my prorated refund for unifi sim card too (lost RM10 je for that, so no biggie).

didn't work for me, TM Point Taipan USJ
*
Exactly. Not all TMPoints offer it.
Even if they do, it's a wonder why some customers can get some cannot get.
Bro see the post here, he did it @ TM Point Taipan USJ also same as you, but succeeded.

There are even those with 4-5 mths left in contract also managed to switch to SWU 5.0.
TM's inconsistencies is really despicable, maybe should lodge MCMC complaint. sweat.gif

You mean they called you to offer SWU 5.0, or is it already reflected in your account?

I got the call on 19-June, but SWU 5.0 still not reflected in my account yet.
Was told takes 5-7 days.

Firstly why still torrenting ah? If you are torrenting movies/shows daily, just get a seedbox online yo.
The free seedboxes are sufficient for most use cases. If not, then the paid ones are cheap enough and outweigh your use of resources to torrent daily. No more messing with whatever public IP, VPN, seeds, peers, ratio. Just DL (at max speeds)

If you care about ratio, the seedbox will handle that for you. Sometimes when the seedbox already has your movie/show/file, just insta-download no waiting at all. Why waste electricity, resources, time and effort to torrent still?

Also ppl know whatever you torrent https://iknowwhatyoudownload.com/en/peer/ brows.gif
It may not be 100% accurate, but it's a good indicator.

Secondly let's not turn UniFi thread into torrent or BT client thread. thumbup.gif

not worth seedbox due need pay not afford i am prefer free so i can use my unifi already fast so handle upload ratio
i don't have issue we do upload to care ratio hahaha
*
Read properly bro - free, you probably don't know where to find. I never paid for one ever.
Even the paid ones <RM15 (if you need the extra features) are cheaper than you consume power, PC resources, time, privacy. You "not afford" but you already paying for it you just don't realize. You have total misconception like a lot ppl. And mod said stop discussion yo.

Can tell them if can't get SWU RM90, then u cancel Unifi n switch to DG plan below, will they take the bait? So no need transfer id.

He's saying this just as a bait, not that he really wants to switch.

QUOTE(tng55 @ Jun 28 2025, 09:27 PM)
not worth DG Plan due 4g or 5g will sometime slow compare Fibre almost very fast and stable then DG plan
possible can get SWU RM90 just do terminate method tm will call they will ask why terminate just tell i got called astro offering RM90 tm will counter offer RM90
*
QUOTE(hsbb @ Jun 28 2025, 09:45 PM)
Everything is fast & stable as long as wired not wireless thing.
*
Why're you guys comparing stable not stable, fibre not fibre? Macam dunno how to comprehend only adui. doh.gif

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Jun 29 2025, 08:33 AM)
I still have 2 months left in my contract. Can try to terminate to get swu 5.0?
*
Can try, there are those with 4-5mths left also managed to get SWU 5.0.
The rumours about ending still just rumours. If no SWU 5.0 who knows maybe SWU 6.0. Worse case they don't offer you can cancel termination. Usually they will counter-offer.

Guys why are most ppl saying to set up Skyworth GN630V to bridge mode and use with own router?

My setup now:
ONU-ALCATEL-LUCENT-I240G ⟶ Skyworth GN630V ⟶ Devices

If set up Skyworth GN630V to bridge mode and use with own router, then it'd be:
ONU-ALCATEL-LUCENT-I240G ⟶ Skyworth GN630V (bridge mode) ⟶ Own Router ⟶ Devices

Wouldn't that be an extra device? Or should I just remove the Skyworth GN630V altogether.

Ur setup & IF, that ONU-ALCATEL-LUCENT-I240G itself is in bridge mode. So put ur own router after ONU-ALCATEL-LUCENT-I240G replacing Skyworth GN630V. U can use GN630V as wired/wireless mesh client then.
*
Thanks.
Just so I understand better, how is the setup like for other ppl? (Those that set up GN630V in bridge mode)

Yupe. Skyworth's one replace your Alcatel unit.
*
QUOTE(hsbb @ Jul 2 2025, 09:17 PM)
As Yluxion replied. But for standard unifi installation is:

Skyworth GN630V (bridge mode+RG) ⟶ Devices
1 power supply

And u can do also

Skyworth GN630V (bridge mode+RG) ⟶ (wired/wireless mesh) Own Router ⟶ Devices
1+1 power supply (not 2), ur current setup is 2
*
Thanks.
The GN630V's WiFi seems quite teruk despite being WiFi 6, as compared to my Asus WiFi 5 router.

Think I may go back to my previous setup: Alcatel ⟶ Asus Router ⟶ Devices
What is the advantage of replacing Alcatel with GN630V bridge mode?

RM89 for 100Mbps, is it guaranteed to get FSU to 300Mbps under SWU 5.0?
Or do you mean hoping to get?
