QUOTE(sitescope @ Jun 20 2025, 01:25 PM) I already did, and the CS mentioned to me that its not a plan that she can offer me atm without a transfer request. Hence the reason why I did the termination request instead. QUOTE(katowwe @ Jun 20 2025, 01:57 PM) I submitted request on 6, 14 and 17, received 3 times sms said will call me. But until now nobody call, hahahaha Yeah I saw your post about this. That's weird though. |

Currently 500mbps RM129/mth without contract Received sms ytd that someone will call with promo and received the telemarketing call today from tm offering RM90 for 500mbps with 12 months disney. Took 3 working days. Quite fast tbh. Can save urself the trouble of going to tmpoint and proceed with request for termination online to get the offer if your contract already finished. |

Hi all, I just recently installed 500mbps unifi with the Fiberhome combo router and I am not getting the full speed in my room despite staying in a condo. Any ideas how to boost the signal or which router should I change for better coverage in the house? I am told that the router allocation depends on TM and not controlled by the installer. They have the skyworth, dlink and fiberhome to choose from.
Thanks for your help. |

QUOTE(tng55 @ Dec 3 2025, 02:28 PM) crap fiberhome combo router no stong wifi i know Can I just replace the fiberhome with the AX73 that you recommended to have only one router setup instead of two?you may get TP Link AX73 enough 500Mbps i think you want strong wifi whole Recommed 2x router explain 1st router main and 2nd router place room use LAN cable main router LAN Cable to ROOM Lan Cable boom strong signal speed always get 500Mbps QUOTE(LeonTan @ Dec 3 2025, 02:30 PM) yup, TP-link is a common mesh wifi to get, you can get from unifi directly or any retail shop (you may ask which model depending your budget ya) Thanks for the recommendation. Seems like I have to spend in any case to get it sorted out.maybe can go for Deco XE75 https://unifi.com.my/lifestyle#mesh-wifi |

QUOTE(LeonTan @ Dec 3 2025, 03:13 PM) you are welcome Mine is in the living room, and the fiber line given is quite short so I can't really adjust the location to be more centralize in the house. I am using 500mbps, and getting about 30mbps in the room with 2.4ghz. 5ghz can't connect well at all. mostly condo fiber box panel is in living room or inside cabinet (the worst location to install as it will affect the wifi signal) so the installer cant move it I am paying 800Mbps but my room only 250Mbps so I add mesh wifi (phone connect wifi and pc using lan connect to mesh wifi) may I know what is the speed in your room? After adding mesh wifi are you getting the full speed? I am planning to continue using wireless for my PC so maybe adding a mesh in the other room to boost the signal. |

QUOTE(LeonTan @ Dec 3 2025, 03:51 PM) I am getting around 70% of the speed and is ok for me, just downloading games/stream hd or 4k movies/play ps5 I will try to make a report before getting the mesh. Is the Skyworth router better in terms of wifi range?maybe try this, make a report to unifi say condo only 1000sqft but wifi not stable, request to change another router model, maybe skyworth keep say wifi not stable, maybe can change the router the cable actually can buy online or lowyat but maybe you try contact the installer who install for you (if installed within 1 month) if after 1 month, can call 100 if change router also same problem, then maybe really have to get a mesh wifi QUOTE(tvcat @ Dec 3 2025, 04:01 PM) Get PowerLine kit and WiFi router. Thanks for your suggestionsOr DIY routing an ethernet cable to the position you want for the new WIFi router. QUOTE(countingcrows @ Dec 3 2025, 04:02 PM) Why don't you start by playing with the channels. Survey the airwaves... I did that after reading your reply, but seems to be the same after doing speedtest. I tried channels 1, 6 and 11 for 2.4ghz as what Google told me Condo, every single home on multiple levels probably has their own wifi, how not to be congested, resulting in paltry speed? Just buy another router or mesh will solve the problem? Sure? 😁 |
