If you have less than 6 months contract, you can go and apply for SWU.
Previously before moving to SWU 3.0 I had like ~3 months contract left.
Then 3.0 to 5.0 had ~5 months left.

Both were waived and refreshed back to 2 years, no issue

Walked in to tmpoint this morning. 15mins kaotim change to 500mb plan @ RM90 + free 12m disney hotstar.

After 2 hours, already updated in myunifi app. Damn fast lol.

Contract finish already. Previous package unifi 300mb, free pro upgrade to 500mb. Was paying rm129 monthly.

I just walked in, said my contract finish ed. Straight to the point said wanna switch plan to swu 5.0, 500mb @ rm90. Initially, the staff said price is rm139, free 6months.

Then i said, haritu kwn sy baru tukar plan 500mbs @ rm90. She check system, straight away said ok cannn. LoL

No STD for this plan.

SWU plan only for existing customer whose contract already expired. No other t&c as im aware off.
Renew contract 2 years + must take unifi mobile postpaid for 3 months @ rm39.

But i read some forumer said no need to wait 3 months, can cancel already. Since, i already paid for the 1st month, gonna wait until next month before cancelling the postpaid.

Yes, but some people got them a few months before their contract ended, you can try your luck. However, mine was after the contract ended. I just wanted to switch to Astro Fiber, and that's how I got counter-offered. I was the first one to get it here in April, and with an additional free STD20 still being retained.

My story about migrating to SWU5.0 with 12-month D+H:

On 20/06/2025, I visited the only TM Point in my area around 4:45 pm. I asked that service officer, is there a retention program or promo for contract-free users? She said yes, and started introducing her 2 SWU packages, which are 300Mbps FOC for 6 months, just one is without a TV 24-month contract, and another with a 55" TV 36-month contract, but both packages' monthly commitments are higher than my current one. Truly, I'm uninterested, as I told her I intend to reduce my commitment. So I wrote the SWU5.0 with Disney RM90 on her paper, and she said she got it, but she needs me to subscribe to the Unifi mobile for 3 months. And I also asked if I can migrate another account which still has 2 2-month contract. However, she said she cannot do any migration as long as in the contract, even though I offered to subscribe to another Unifi mobile. Therefore, I only managed to get one account contract-free, migrating to SWU5.0 with a 12-month D+H

23/06/2025 I received a WhatsApp from that officer who mentioned she had entered my order into the system this morning. The modify order is activated (completed) and the package name changed to Unifi Home 500Mbps StaywithUnifi 5.0 (Disney)(90) after one hour.

I will just keep my Unifi mobile for another 2 months, as I still have another account that is going to finish its contract on 23/08/2025. Plan to cut all Unifi mobile after I get that account migrated.

Try request termination through portal

Tried termination trick online and it doesn't work for me because they knew that I still have 4 months+ contract. Penalty is > RM 479. Actual value to be confirm with their billing department.

Walked in to TM Point Kepong and it works but was forced to applied Unifi Mobile. Requested for cancellation on same day at different branch.

Will get it if hunting around. Just how desperate to get it only.

Yup, the SIM card will be activated on the spot as they will send you a payment link.
I had submitted the termination request on 4/6/25 and called 100 2 times for an enquiry, but nobody called me back for confirmation.
Even though the package changed today also nobody called at all. Just the package plan name changed.

TM starting to rolling out their all new Wi-Fi 7 for new subscribers.

No, his logic is he pays more so TM will not convert his to private IP while the rest of us who pay less will have higher chances to be converted to private IP. The thing is TM won't bother how much you are paying, if it is affects 500Mbps, it will affect all. Seems like simple logic like this is hard to be understood by "some people".

Already told him to wait long long la if TM will upgrade his to 800Mbps. I rather save RM29 per month and then see what comes around when the contract is ending 1.5 years later. 😁

If TM decide to set 500Mbps plans to private IP then upgrade to 1Gbps account lar.

Can upgrade anytime even when still under contract.
