Yeah this will be the acid test. If this case goes in favour of the Tmn Sri Muda residents, other flood prone areas may potentially rise up too. It's going to be like a can of worms. Surely they will try to cover up or mislead the residents there. It going to be an uphill battle.

What would be really good if there is a time lapsed pictures of the location too see the development in the area. I suspect that area and it's surrounding areas, every square inch has been developed (loss of green lung) and the increase in the volume of water run off, this location is doomed to fail. Just look at the topography its very bad.

Back then the land is ok.. but as years gone by the river now flow with more water than last time as more and more development on the upstream

Going forward, the only variables to use is level and rate of flow. Even that is not a completely fail proof. Once those variables breached, flood will take place.

It has been flooding since the 80s and people still insist on buying properties there to live. Go figure.

Council and state keep approving new development, that's blatant corruption on the authorities.

But those who keep buying those new developments, that's either born yesterday naivety or hopeful stupidity.

Whats the point on all the people saying its low lying area, or developers fault. Whats done is done. You want to bring them to justice now? Good. But first thing is to see what can be done about the problem to solve it. Going after the responsible party is secondary.

After make noise during their first PC last week, the next day TNB come and check and pasang electric for the pump. From there you can see that in bukan masalah tanah rendah ke tinggi, its simply an issue of people who are not doing the work they are suppose to be doing.

Also to those saying the about the river level being higher so cannot pump, there has been no issue of the river overflowing, its always an issue of gettting the water from the retention pond to the river, the pond which was only meant for Sri muda but has sinced been piggy back by other upscale projects like kemuning utama and alam impian to name a few.

There is no reasonable solution for this piece of land already.

The quickest way is for the state govt to condemn the land and seize it under LAA. Then give out some just compensation to all the current owners.
