If ps 1 those budget anbernic [rg [number] xx] series can run..even rg35xx or rg35xx h can run.

What you want to consider is the layout of controller (gba style or horizontal layout) and screen size [4:3], or 1:1 or 16:9

Cpu plays a part for your emulation. If you also want to emulate PSP, then u need beefier cpu like RK3566 [mostly on powkiddy rgb30 or x55/x28)

Also go through that youtube channel, he gives very much indepth review of all type of console.

Last you want to consider as well is how small u want it.

X55 is larger but 16:9, where else rg35xx / rgb10x is smaller

Anbernic and powkiddy are good but it depends what you want to play.
Try the excel sheet and cross check with reddit cpu spec and youtube. Because i also wont know which suited best for your need.

My kid loves zelda games from gba, so got her rg35xx as a start. Might get an upgrade soon
