Last month I had bad cold n nose block, then doctor prescribed it to me, without telling me the risks and only to use it a few times.

Now everytime my nose is blocked I need to use oxynase, to clear it. If not it will swell and both of my nose are blocked.

I can't even speak well during work because I had to breath through my mouth.

Now I have what they call a rhintis medicamentosa.



Why the pharma co issue one whole spray bottle, when only few sprays are allowed? ridiculous, so unethical !

They just want to increase their sales !

And their doctors? either not well train, or just continue to sell their drugs as their agents !


DON'T EVER USE OXYNASE FOR NOSE BLOCK.

A FEW SPRAYS WILL ONLY TEMPORARY RELIEF, then CAUSES YOUR WHOLE NOSE INFLAMMATION TO RELY ON THEM.

WORSE OF ALL, may develop POLYPS which may need surgery to remove

Then use saline water to wash nose and sinus - brand is neilmed. Make sure use boiled water that is chilled off, and the bottle also make sure is clean with hot boiling water before use.

Don't use Oxynasefor more than 3 or 4 days in a row as it may aggravate nasal congestion (called rebound congestion) - it says so on the packaging. It's not meant for long term use.

You concern is valid.

Doctors never teach patients on low histamin diet, which obviously aggravates rhinitis and any inflammation for susceptible patients. You need to learn to reduce histamine by lifestyle changes too.

Doctors also didnt tell you there are enzymes that degrades your body histamine naturally. Its the real deal. The so called "antihistamine" drugs only block the action temporarily.

its clearly written on the bottle and the box you idiot. DO NOT EXCEED DOSAGE and they give the dosage there as well. IIRC its just 2-3 sprays per day.

Twice a day, one pump each nostril. You need the correct technique to spray else won't be effective. Complete for 5 days even though nose longer block and after that stop.

At the same time can do nasal irrigation e.g. neilmed and also start your antihistamine e.g. clarinase routine.

The take rest and recover.

How long you used it? I used it per doctors instructions to cure my back drip. Then stopped. Reuse it sparingly only when it reoccurs usually when it's cold season and I have sniffling nose

And more importantly did you see the doctor once oxynase has proven ineffective to alleviate your symptoms

Which doc, and they never explain oxynase must not exceed 5 days of usage?

I have severe nasal blockage too. Sinus rinse don't work for me. Oxynase is a lifesaver. At times I relied on it daily.

But since this topic came up I realised I have not sprayed oxynase for the past 1 month. Still got blockage but lately milder and mouth breathing is done subconsciously

That's why only go for charity-run tcm. They don't have profitability as a kpi. I don't even use soap and shampoo that have western pharmaceutical parentage. Same for vitamins.

As a b40, i just use fine salt and sumbat into the nose, kasi jeruk for a while.

There is better treatment without incurring any payment. Stop using stupid pharma prescription. Treat the root cause not symptom. Confirm becoming normal if follow regularly need just pm

I am overcoming my sinus through exercise, tcm, tcm self massage, and dietary according to tcm recommendations.

When I had blocked nose, sneezing or problem with lots of mucus. I would normally blow the nose, clear it. after that, I would go for get some Sun, let the ray of warm light hit your face, your chest for 10 seconds. after that go to a cooler shaded area(under the tree, or your porch) for 10seconds , repeat that cycle for 10 times. You can alternate between front facing the Sun or back facing. Usually do this in the morning, remember to go drink sufficient water with oral rehydration salts, if you are generally in trouble with "heaty situation" or nose bleeds...


*** my explanation for how this fix the problem, is, improving your blood circulation to your nasal/nose area, improving blood circulation to the nose, will improve your body's action to any "allergent, or bacteria and what not" let your body fight the correct fight. instead of suppressing it with anti-allergy meds.

Also be very aware of your posture, are you slightly hunched? especially office workers or people who doom scroll insta/tiktok/facebook/youtube... we are intentionally in a neck posture that reduces blood circulation to the nose. This is bad. Please take frequent breaks and also do the head lifting exercise to train your neck muscles in the back of your neck.
