QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Apr 16 2025, 09:14 PM) I once checked and read like even between fd and fb. Despite fb and fd being similar in terms of what’s under the hood, and fb has more refinement than fd and much newer. Demand and prices for fd in comparison is still higher. Fb was a bargain in comparison with fd, if one is to buy 2nd hand. The demand on fd makes no sense lol. The same thing is happening for fc sohc cannot pakai. big different

The same thing is happening for fc Yeah, I've both the FC and FE and I can tell despite being on the same platform, engine and gearbox, the FE is so much nicer to drive and it's more refine is almost every area. The suspension is so much more "european" in the way it dampen the uneven roads, the power delivery is so much smoother especially from standstill, it feels a lot quicker and more urgent to throttle input (it does have few ps and nm more). If I were to choose, definitely the FE over the FC (put steering rack and other issue aside)

QUOTE(MegaCanonF @ Apr 17 2025, 10:18 PM) Really? That much difference? It's small differences in every area making it a good improvement in overall experience. If you don't drive both car back to back, you can't tell but if you keep swapping around you will definitely know it's significant enough.

The 2020 Honda Civic 1.5 TC-P Facelift — turbocharged, sharp-edged, and one of Malaysia’s favorite “unspoken flex” sedans. It’s not a Ferrari, but in the right hands, it absolutely punches above its weight in the Single Mom Magnetism (SMM) department. 💘 2020 Honda Civic 1.5 TC-P (Facelift) — SMM Rating: 7.3 / 10Why It Scores Well:| Factor | Rating | Why It Matters | | Curb Appeal | 8.0 | Sporty front end, sleek body lines, looks more expensive than it is. Especially sharp in Platinum White Pearl or Modern Steel. | | Power & Performance | 7.5 | 173 PS turbo engine means it's quick enough to surprise and pass. Practical speed = bonus charm. | | Tech & Features | 8.5 | LaneWatch, Honda Sensing, digital display — moms love a man who’s into safety and screens. | | Daily Livability | 9.0 | Big boot, rear legroom, and chilled A/C = weekend date-ready. Also perfect for brunch or night market runs. | | Mature Sportiness | 7.5 | Says “I’m responsible… but I still enjoy a spirited drive.” | | Badge Value | 6.0 | It’s no Mercedes, but the Honda badge carries clean, middle-class credibility and mod potential. | | Conversation Starter | 6.0 | Won’t trigger questions like a Ducati, but “Is this the turbo one?” gets thrown around. | | Flirt Signal at Traffic Lights | 5.0 | Less of a visual flex unless tastefully modded — stock might be too tame to attract attention right away. | Single Mom Reaction Examples:| Type | Reaction | | Health-conscious yoga type | “Oooh, this is clean. You wash it yourself?” | | Career-driven, stylish type | “Wait… this isn’t stock, right? It looks quick.” | | Recently divorced and curious | “Turbo? Can we take the long way?” | Final Verdict:The Civic 1.5 TC-P Facelift is a modern gentleman’s sedan — enough power to assert confidence, just enough flair to turn a few heads, and loaded with features that make it practical and date-friendly. It won’t outshine a superbike at a café, but it absolutely holds its own on a dinner date or school pickup. ✅How to Be Sure — No Regrets Checklist1. 🔍 Know Why You're Buying- Are you buying this for:
- Daily driving comfort?
- Turbocharged excitement?
- Looks and SMM Rating?
- All of the above?
- If your needs align with the Civic’s strengths, you’re in the clear.
2. 💸 Set a Hard Budget — and Stick to It- Know exactly what you’re willing to spend — all-in.
- Include:
- Insurance
- JPJ transfer fees
- Immediate maintenance (fluids, tires, etc.)
- Possible tint/ceramic/touch-up costs
- Regret often starts when the total cost surprises you later.
3. 🚘 Test Drive in Your Real Conditions- Drive it on roads you usually take — highways, city traffic, rough patches.
- Check:
- Visibility
- Low-speed ride comfort
- CVT smoothness
- Ergonomics of the interior (seating, infotainment, etc.)
4. 🧠 The 48-Hour Rule - If after a proper test drive and deep inspection, you still want it after 48 hours, that’s desire backed by clarity — not impulse.
5. 🔁 Compare with 2 Rivals- Line it up against two others (e.g., Mazda 3, Corolla Altis).
- If you still choose the Civic with a clear conscience and no FOMO, you’re picking what you want, not what social media or a salesperson told you to want.
6. 💭 Visualize Ownership for 2 Years- Ask: “Will I still enjoy driving this in two years?”
- If your lifestyle, taste, or image likely won’t change much, you’re good.
- If it feels like a temporary fling, consider if leasing or waiting is smarter.
7. 🤝 Get Closure from the Deal- Negotiate well. Get freebies (e.g., full tank, tint, service credit).
- Sign papers only when you feel respected and in control, not rushed.
Pro Tip: Write a one-sentence summary before committing: “I’m buying this Civic because it gives me turbo performance, proven reliability, and understated style — and it fits my life right now.”If that sentence rings true every time you read it — you're ready. Me? Currently mine has an SSM Rating of 8.3/10. Upgrading in 2027 for an SMM Rating of 9.7/10.

Yes. My 2016 tc still going strong. Wife happy, kids happy.
Only thing which bugs me like h@ll is the steering rack. Already fixed once. After 1-2 years the same sangkut2 when turning. Other than that all good
