anyone knows where is the best place to get a 1/18 Audi R8...?
check online just now... found out that Kyosho is better than Maisto in terms of QC and details.... look carefully at the lights... Maisto R8 doesnt look so nice without the black colour ring surrounding the lights... and of course... the price is different as well... Hi! I am new here. I do not know there is a diecast forum here in Malaysia! Until somebody at BTS Kyosho stores told me this forum and indeed I am not alone of collecting diecast.
I have been collecting for 4-5 years and have around over 150++ 1:18 models mostly Merc, BMW and F1 models. 95% of my model are bought from internet online store from a very reliable source. Will post some pics to share later! Cheers!! |

QUOTE(subaru22b @ Aug 6 2008, 04:22 PM) spikey:Wah !!!!Cant believe ......... I bet he could have bought one of the cars in his collection (the real car).Nice work you should go for tv shows and show your collection. Added on October 11, 2008, 11:52 am QUOTE(aurion @ Aug 7 2008, 08:34 AM) Just so share some tips on refurbishing your dc models. Great tips on repairing scratch windows. Does it apply to all plastic windows? Also the cloth what type of cloth to use as normal cloth do tend to scratch the windows too. Which toothpaste better ah?1) Toothpaste can be used to remove minor scratches on the windshield, rear windshield and side windows. Apply a bit of toothpaste on to a polishing cloth and buff till toothpaste disappears, scratches shoud be gone or less visible, apply more toothpaste if scratches still visible and buff. Also works on getting rid of superglue on windshield (time consuming) 2) For silver cars which need touching up on paintwork, Tamiya Acryllic Paint X-11 Chrome Silver blends in almost perfectly with the original paintwork. 3) For Maisto McLaren SLR's doors which just cannot stay up, superglue is a friendly fix here. First, take the whole car apart, and apply superglue on the hinges located on the roof top of the shell. Keep opening and closing the doors to prevent the superglue from jamming up the doors. Eventually, the super glue will harden but not hard enough to stop your doors from opening or closing. The doors should work like new after this, just that they are a bit harder now and will stay up or down when required. This post has been edited by advocado: Oct 11 2008, 11:52 AM |
