I think wrongly added.

I too received such emails. All because of Gmail.

For example.

My email is ABC.123@gmail.com

But that idiot used ABC123@gmail.com instead.

According to Gmail, ABC123@gmail.com is same as ABC.123@gmail.com too.

If you check the recipient of the email, was it to your email with . or was it to another slightly different variation of your email (. in a different location or no . completely)?

I’ve faced similar with someone using a non . variant of my email address and I’ve been getting Lazada invoice for purchases the other person made 😅

ABC123@gmail.com should be yours. nobody else can register it as theirs.

Yes, I've done that before when someone uses my email address. Manage to take over his Facebook and Instagram. But for banking definitely cannot, need to verify mobile number.
That idiot even uses my email to register Apple ID, but luckily Apple quite strict otherwise I would have reset and locked his iPhone.

Call Astro using the info in the bill, request to subscribe the most expensive package or request termination.

If you managed to locked his iphone, that's the best thing you've done to teach him, his world will be upside down 😅

Hahaha, I end up calling Apple to disassociate my email with the Apple ID. Took them less than a day to remove my email.

somebody uses my email for their banking and subscription.

all his banking transactions and bills come to my mailbox.

this has been going on for many years.

this guy has the same name as me. i checked his profile in linkedin. i even tried to call him but no response.

could it be gmail problem? or this guy is just too lazy to put email address when signing up for anything?

1st must make a non-action report with Police station. Clearly declare this is non related to you. Then report to app platform with police report.

I’m experiencing the same issue. It seems that an older gentleman, who happens to have the same name as me, mistakenly assumed the email account was his. As a result, all of his transaction details are being sent to my inbox.

UOB and Public Bank don’t verify whether the bank account actually belongs to the person. They simply accept whatever information is provided to them without proper validation.
