Look at Bangkok
It is thousand km away from Sagaing epicentre
Some say effect from some nearby suture
Some say due to soft ground amplified
Dunno which one
But look at Kuala Lumpur..

Yes, I would never say never.
I'm just grateful that the odds are very low compared to our surrounding.

Why when something uncertain, why not we prepare instead of 14th flr? What mentality is that?
Why everything needs to be triggered?

Mentality of when confronted with something beyond any human control. And something they cannot understand. It's traumatic.

Migrate where you can be sure it's less risk than "no significant risk"?

Refer post #6: "Earthquakes are unpredictable in both location and magnitude. The risk exists - for instance, Bukit Tinggi once experienced a 3.8-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale. However, at present, there is no significant earthquake risk in Peninsular Malaysia"

Malaysia is not free from earthquake, particularly Ranau (2015 KK 18 deaths) and Kunak (6.6 record 1923 a month before Japan Great Kanto) incident were well documented and reported.

The overall risk for peninsula remain low but critical for area with high rise residential buildings especially those north of Klang Valley sit along the KL fault line.

Wow great planning, how come Malaysian skyscrapers and tall buildings are concentrated in the most risky cities and areas around the country especially Peninsula?
