Does anyone here success install 2 fibre in 1 house? We currently have 2 fibre unifi and maxis with tv bundle installment, and we relocate to newest place, we manage to install unifi but when going maxis and tm they say no longer available to install 2 fibre in 1 house due to new mcmc rule, same as unifi also unable to help. I just want to know if anyone got a similar experience, if you got 2 fibre at home, how did you do it? As terminate need pay balance of tv around 7k.

Should be able to do 2 VLAN ID for separate telco in TM fibre, right? Just inform Maxis, you have existing active fibre with TM and they should be able to proceed with TM existing infra. Or you have max out the 2.4Gbps limit. sweat.gif

Yes it is possible, but TM will not allow this to happen.

Last time my office use both unifi n maxis and only use 1 onu.

Also when migrate from unifi to maxis, both line activate for a few weeks. Before 1 terminated.

Ye, last time before Covid, you can run both Maxis and Unifi on the same fibre line. After Covid, they disallow this to happen, but made exception for those who already run two provider in 1 ONU. You have to go through switching process and only allowed 1 ISP in 1 house.
But of course, when I migrate my Unifi to Digi, and then from Digi to Maxis, both line can run for 1 to 2 weeks before one is terminated.
I have no idea how's the practice for business line.

Terminate the Unifi one, and keep Maxis one.

When terminate Unifi will have termination fee while under contract.

Why you itchy hand and have two fibre lines in your house?

In my experience, for small business types (not enterprise/corporate level), no problem if TM infra. They understand you need redundancy. One ONU/BTU can use different LAN port – LAN1 normally UnifiBiz, and LAN2 will be for whichever provider riding on TM infra. If the fibre infra is by a mobile telco provider (Maxis, Digi, Celcom, Umobile), then headache sikit because they will try to push their 4g/5g service as backup. If more exotic provider like TIME or Viewqwest, not sure.

My understanding of Home Packages (whether Unifi or Maxis or Digi or whatever)... is that its not possible to have 2 ISP registered in the same House address. sweat.gif

But you can have 2 & even more registered under a Company (Business) Packages & have it install in the same premise. Done that on for my ex-company, 2 x Unifi, 1 x Maxis. tongue.gif

Maybe because Business package is more on the expensive side... hahaha... rolleyes.gif

So there is a chance to register under business package & have it install in your home... just guessing only, try your luck. biggrin.gif

Our home used to have both Maxis and Unifi services running on the same ONU. Later, I switched the Maxis line to Digi. The Unifi and Maxis/Digi lines were registered under different names.

About two years ago, the Digi line was terminated after my dad (the account holder) passed away.

Recently, we attempted to sign up for a new CelcomDigi line, but were told it couldn’t proceed. TM now requires a Transfer ID, and without it, no new service can be activated on the existing fibre line.

Do your house have good signal on 5G? Another solution is use 5G home and buy a load balancer but you need to know how to configure this device to make use of both line.
