Once U mobile completes its Huawei-based 5G network

You can then feel the real 5G speed and latency

There is no use case for 5G, 4G speed is more than enough for daily applications …

A lot of fake ideas of VR/AR never kicks off in mobile world …

You probably can have 500Mbps to watch Tik Tok which only needs 5Mbps …

Been saying this since 2021 kek

You'll know your area is highly congested when you get full bars on 5G but during speedtest only obtained around 200Mbps when other places you get over 600Mbps.

I feel happier using 4G+ on Umobile instead can get ~150Mbps at my place.Off peak hours can achieve 250Mbps on 4G+.

Umobile/Maxis probably using Huawei 4G equipment with their own dedicated base stations at my place.

You'll know there's speedcap on Youtube when you test with fast.com

Use a proper speedtest server instead like nPerf or Ookla do check your real speed.

No cap on weekends. If you use their Postpaid or Home 5G broadband plans no cap at all.

Cap is only for streaming content such as Netflix and Youtube.

If you test on their own speed servers(Umobile own speedtest serves on Ookla/nPerf) you should be able to obtain full speed even if you're on capped plans.

Speedcap written in their t&c

I think fast.com more accurate representation of the speed, you use high speed on mobile for video, rarely for download. If for download and view website use fiber optic connection at home or office

They only impose speed throttling for streaming contents such as Youtube/Netflix to avoid wastage for users who use on phones etc.

How many people can afford VR/AR headsets? 1Mbps is enough to watch TikTok. 3Mbps can stream YouTube 1080p. Even the content providers don't want to store super huge files la. They keep compressing their videos and pictures. Who needs 5G when there's no content?

Apparently, you have not been China before and don't know how well established their infrastructure, including the 5G network

Huawei 5G or Ericsson 5G, is the same standard and physics.

Different countries have their limitations on 5G implementation. The more spectrum you throw in the faster you can achieve, the less users they have the faster per user speed you enjoy …

Higher speed is no longer what people wanted … higher quota is no longer a concern … witn DNB, everyone now sucks together… Whether UM can have better coverage than DNB, will see… but it will be 3-4 years until they can catch up …

China been pushing 5G but in reality all the showcases end with showcases, demo remains a demo … just to impress but adoption still limited … selling a vision that remains a vision …

In 3-4 years time, the telco vendors will sell another vision and since their vision for 5G never realize, they will likely just reuse content from 5G and change the 5 to 6 and resell as revolutionary tech to suckers like MCMC, gov and politicians …

Yes

MY 5G network also sucks

Because DNB uses Ericsson instead of Huawei

Salah the penyamun abahkau for banning Huawei during backdoor government era

If you want to feel and taste the real 5G speed, make a visit to China

Thank you Madani for giving a chance to Huawei for the 2nd 5G network in MY
