Based on all surname Jetty, all their origin are from Tong'an, Quanzhou (now part of Xiamen).
   Hui'An, Jinjiang also part of Quanzhou  Don't know who told me is Zhangzhou Hokkien, maybe they mistaken with Teochew.  The dialect difference between Penang Hokkien and Southern/Singaporean Hokkien are on county level, not prefecture level. All Malaysians are still Quanzhou Hokkien.  |
